  • Good product
I ordered this to haul pipes, ladders stuff like that on my work truck. The racks are good and solid, everything was there. What don't like is the bolts stick up like 3" on the mounting brakets. plan on trimming them. Also they came with no instructions. Pretty simple to figure out, but a quick look would be helpful. Would I buy this again? Absolutely. Took about 20 minutes to install on 04 silverado. Feels solid, looks decent and it's a good price. ... show more

  • Easy to install, sturdy and usefull
This was a great alternative to expensive kayak mounts. We needed something to haul the kayak. Installs easily and works great. It also is easy to take off.

  • Good value
Very good racks for pretty cheap. Very sturdy. Easy assembly. Bought them on a recommendation from a friend. Very happy with them. Funny though how both me and my friend were missing the same small set screw? What are the chances. Had to go buy a small, cheap bolt at hardware store to replace. More inconvenient than anything. But other than that, for the price, I recommend. Have used them to transport tandem sit on top kayak and also canoe. Worked great. ... show more

  • Easy to Install and Strong
I bought these for my '19 F-150 because my wife and I wanted to take our kayaks and our bikes camping but we don't have a trailer. The price was great so I expected lower quality or greater difficulty to install. I installed these by myself with just a socket wrench and allen key set in less than an hour. They fit to the truck extremely well to the point that tugging on them moves the truck, not the racks. They worked perfectly for hauling two kayaks above the bed (5.5 ft short bed). Very happy with this purchase. I haven't tried parking in a parking garage yet to test if these make that impossible but I did take it through a height limited drive thru with no issue. I prefer a tonneau cover for daily use so I'll probably uninstall these for now but will definitely keep them for next time. ... show more

  • Simple, affordable and effective
Many times if you are to buy something like this, it is going to cost you at least $1000 if not more plus you might need to pay somebody to install it and that could cost another $500-$1000. This product was pretty easy to install. We did make a couple adaptions to some of the screws to secure a little tighter with our vehicle. We have a Toyota Tacoma. But overall we haven’t had too many issues. There has been a couple times where we have needed to re-secure the rack, which is good to factor in maybe ever 2-3 months. I love that they have the little side connector things and also a place where you can put a strap on the rack to tighten the ladders. I would recommend tightening each separately and not using one rat strap to pull the other rack towards the other rack. That creates tension that can loose in the rack and Could cause the rack to no longer be secure. Overall great product ... show more

  • Perfect trailer friendly rack
The rack was perfect for a trailer build to carry kayaks and cargo. I used a stripped camper trailer frame with a self installed wood floor. In order to use the rack i had to adjust as this rack (and most others) have a max width of 71 inches. I bolted some 2x8s to the metal frame of the trailer and then bolted the rack mounts through the 2x8 and the trailer floor. The integrity of the rack was not compromised and the racks hold both boats as well as large cargo beneath the rack, multiple interstate speed trips with rack loaded and no issues. Racks were easy to install without directions, i did not use the J hooks but appear to be a good size and sturdy of i did need to use them. ... show more

  • Everything you need to slap this on quick.
Overall great product, things to keep in mind: -19mm nut that needs a deep socket unless theres a lot of bulk on the outer trim of a truckbed; I had to finish with an adjustable wrench about halfway down and that slowed me down. You need a hex key/wrench (not included) for the rest of the install. Once your verticle bars are up, back out the hex screws on the crossbar sections till theyre flush with the inner bar wall. Slide the extender into one side and you can just swing them both into place. -I imagine a lot of light-medium duty shortbeds will have just enough width clearance for the crossbars to sit flush, so having the extender in line with the hex screw hole really didnt matter for me; I just tightened the central rod down with the hex screws on both of the crossbars. -There isn't a way to adjust the height unless you wanna drill holes in the heavy bars. There are no other screws, nuts and bolts to attach with beyond the j-bolt. Mine had no extra backup parts. External dimensions of my '02 Nissan Frontier: 74"Lx60"W. Even in the most condensed form of the crossbars, I can just fit two sit on top kayaks flat and strap them down sturdy with 1 15 ft ratchet each. The key is to use the rubberized front post in the footwell to help keep them in position. ... show more
