I use dry shampoo between washes and I need something to really dig down into my oily scalp for a thorough cleaning when it's time for a "wet wash." This little brush does the trick. The bristles are nubbly and flexible not rigid so you won't scratch your scalp. It feels incredibly luxurious to have such an effective scalp massage. My shampoo lathers up like crazy and my formerly flaky scalp is happy and flake-free. An excellent little tool!

This arrived super fast. And I don't know how I ever lived without it, or want to ever again. It was a spur of the moment inspired by TikTok, maybe I would regret it purchase... It has made my hair softer, grow more, it's so soothing and invigorating on my scalp. I get kinda giddy in the shower now. I know my hair is going to be on point and it feels so nice, it is a very cheap spa experience! Its one of those things you don't know you are missing out on until you get one. I have very long thin hair down to my waist. I did not know what to expect. I bought it for the sole purpose to massage my scalp. I like the massage on the back bottom of my head, felt very good. What I was not expecting is how much build-up I had. I wash my hair 2 to 3 times per week, it is on the dry side and I don't wear chemicals on my hair and I was with cleaner shampoos such as paragon free sulfate free and so on...... You have to switch hands to get a good wash and it cleans your hair very well. My hair is never tangled after a shower and with the brush it got a lil' more tangled. Nothing to worry about. My hair felt and was noticeably softer, noticeably. I was quite shocked that I had build-up. I do train and I do know my hair gets sweaty but it NEVER smelled or looked gross EVER. Try it, give it a shot, you never know. I am gonna get my sister one and maybe gift a few. So far I approve of it. Looks just like all the photos and mine came in fine, fast, not broken....... You be your own judge.

I picked this up because my youngest had dandruff, and wanted to try something for massaging scalps first. I’ve had itchy scalp for years, but with straight hair, found thorough brushing was enough to keep flakes and itches at bay. I didn’t count on how much I would love this and use it. I like to wash my hair in the bath, and my hair is so thick and shoulder length that it’s hard to get it clean without a ton of shampoo. Enter this “brush.” It’s soft rubbery plastic, and the tongs are more like dull fangs - they’re the size of candy corn. I use a normal amount of shampoo and lather up my scalp. Then I massage my scalp with this brush, and it’s delightful and builds up a good lather. Then I use that lather on my longer hair, rinse, and use the brush to comb through my hair after I put conditioner on. Rinse again, comb through with the brush one last time, and put it on the shower shelf. It never needs cleaning because I of how far apart the tongs are. Everyone in my family now uses it because it feels so great on the scalp, and hair feels very clean and soft afterward. And yes, it instantly got rid of my son’s flaking scalp. His hair is so thick that it was hard for him to massage his scalp with his fingers, and face it, he’s a guy, so “massage” sounds silly to him. Using this brush, though, and seeing how it makes the lather thicker and it feels so good - well, that’s more than enough to get him on board. It is a silly thing. I would have never bought it even after seeing it on Buzzfeed, except that the reviews are great and it’s inexpensive. Even if I weren’t a bath person, even if my hair weren’t crazy thick, I’d get it just for the pleasure of a simple scalp massage. Especially now with Covid that I can’t really get that terrific scalp massage at my salon. I love it, and highly recommend to anyone, male or female.

Several years ago I bought a different scalp brush, it had very short bristles and it was made of a hard, very stiff plastic-like material. The bristles were so short that they didn't move at all and were too short to get through all of my hair and down to my scalp in some areas. The bristles have no give at all, don't move or flex, this makes it slightly painful to use, since I have a sensitive scalp and a few areas that are a bit sore to the touch, because of this, I didn't use the old brush very often. With so many choices for the newer silicone scalp brushes, I had a hard time choosing one, but I bought this one because of the reviews. So glad I did! The bristles are a great size to be able to work through the hair and long enough to get down to my scalp. The silicone bristles are just the right firmness to be able to cleanse my scalp thoroughly and massage without hurting me!! I look forward to using it in the shower now! I may get another one to use at night when I use an oil on my scalp and want to massage it in (so I can keep one in my room and one in the shower). I haven't noticed any issues with it so far. I'll update this review if anything changes but so far, I'm very satisfied with this item!!

I like this shampoo brush, I’ve used it every time I shampoo since I bought it in July 2019, but I noticed the other day that it now has this nasty musty mildewy smell. It has never smelled bad before. In the past I’ve pulled it apart to clean the inside since I know that water gets inside (it’s not sealed) and hard water deposits/scale build up can happen, which it has, and I’ve cleaned it and put it back together with no problem. But it never smelled bad before. So I pulled it apart and sure enough there was mildew and scale build up. I cleaned it like normal with vinegar and water BUT the smell didn’t go away. I then clean it again with Clorox and water but the smell is still there, it seems to be embedded in the soft silicone part of the brush where the spikes are. The smell is not only on the inside but on the outside too. Im kinda of disgusted so I’ll be throwing it away and buying one that doesn’t have parts that water can get inside. Im disappointed, i shouldn’t have to buy another shampoo brush so soon especially because of stuck-on bad smell. I didn't know that could happen. I thought I should let people know what can happen only after less than a year of using this brush.
