This thing has been a real blast to watch my son play on. It’s definitely not a high end model, but for the price point it’s a lot of fun. If I were doing it again I would’ve bought a bigger one because my son has suddenly started sprouting like a beanstalk, but that’s something on my end and nothing to do with the device itself. The app lets you control different power modes as well as set limits on speed if you’re concerned with your little one going too fast, which is a great feature. Initially started to slow, but now my son is zipping around with no problems. Unless scooter can even support my weight on and after writing in a little bit, I’ve now decided to get myself a bigger adult version. Battery life is still pretty good and I have no issues with it and would definitely recommend for somebody just starting out with electric scooters

BEST SCOOTER! I spent hours researching electric scooters before choosing this one. I bought this for my 14 year old however my husband and I both ride it too. He’s 6 foot 200lbs and I’m 5’6 140lbs. So it works for adults too. The size is perfect for teens and adults. It’s a really smooth ride. The battery life is really good. We took these easily foldable scooters to Florida and rode them all day and only charged it before bed so we could ride them the next day. We rode them all around Seaside, Florida. The functionality is easy. It has controls to set the speeds lower too. We keep the speed 12mph and lower for our teen but turn that off when we ride it. It even has a headlight. This scooter is very durable. My kids are rough with it and it holds up great. I bought this because it’s a great value for the money. There are so many other more expensive electric scooters out there but seriously this one is so good.

The MAXSHOT electric scooter has a lot of potential, and in many ways it delivers. The dual suspension makes a noticeable difference on rougher sidewalks and uneven pavement, giving it a smoother ride than many scooters in this price range. The multiple speed modes are a great touch — being able to switch between 9, 16, 19, and 22 mph makes it versatile for both adults and bigger kids. The app control is surprisingly useful too, letting you adjust settings, lock the scooter, and monitor battery life without digging through menus on the scooter itself. However, my experience wasn’t perfect. Right out of the box, the scooter was missing one of the screws for the handlebar latch, which means it doesn’t fully latch the way it should. It’s still rideable, but it definitely affects confidence in the build quality. For something meant to be folded and unfolded regularly, that missing hardware is a pretty big oversight. Performance has also dipped faster than expected. After only about ten uses — and with a rider under 75 pounds — the top speed in sport mode has dropped by roughly 7 mph. That’s a noticeable difference, especially when one of the selling points is the higher speed capability. It still works, but it’s disappointing to see that kind of decline so quickly. Despite these issues, the scooter does have a lot going for it: solid range, comfortable ride, easy folding mechanism, and a good feature set for commuting or casual riding. If the quality control were a bit tighter and the performance held steady longer, this would easily be a 5‑star product. As it stands, it’s a good scooter with excellent features, but buyers should be prepared to double‑check the hardware and keep an eye on long‑term performance.

My pre-teen son uses this daily! Bought as a Christmas gift and we live 1.5 miles away from his middle school and he rides this back home at times. I haven’t tried it or left it out in hard rain so I can’t speak to how it reacts to being in the elements for a longer duration BUT, I am buying him a scooter cover to protect it from the elements! My son loves to take it out for a spin and has the app on it on his phone as well. It’s held up well to a very active child! The lights are nice and bright and it’s been a perfect gift at a good price! Update: screws fell out and lost so the seller was able to help me by sending out replacement screws.. one note, the screws in general are a bit of a design flaw, so you may want to find a way to secure the screws in the handle.. I screwed them in and then secured them with a piece of flex seal so they wouldn’t fall out again- the design flaw is that they don’t stay IN because the treads don’t “bite” all the way.. this could lead ( as did with us) that they could fall out and cause injury. HOWEVER, this is a small design flaw.. the rest runs well, holds charge well, follows the app well and is otherwise a really sturdy and good product. I am looking to try and purchase another for another son

I’ve been using this MAXSHOT electric scooter for a few weeks now, and it’s been a really solid purchase. It’s perfect for both adults and bigger kids, and the adjustable speed modes are a huge plus. I like being able to switch between slower speeds for safety and higher speeds when I’m commuting. The ride feels smooth and stable, even on slightly uneven roads. The battery life is reliable — I can easily get through my daily trips without worrying about charging constantly. The folding design is also super convenient for storage and carrying around. One feature I didn’t expect to use as much as I do is the app control. It’s actually pretty useful for checking speed, battery, and adjusting settings quickly. Overall, this scooter offers great performance for the price. Easy to use, practical, and dependable — definitely a 5-star experience.

gets up and goes quicky. battery might actually go 10+mi on a single charge. it does climb grades. i ran it for well over an hour in a hilly development full throttle when safe. you have probably over a mile on the last battery bar. without suspension you really dont want to go faster than 20mph anyway. i should have got the suspension version, but it is a decent scooter. worst drawback being the 4 lame screws used to assemble the handle bars. i mignt use locktite or replace with locking pins of some sort.
