Overall build quality was good, substantial metal not thin stampings, the adjustment screw action was smooth not rough grindy threads like some others I've had. I would have preferred the thumbscrew which holds clamp to bench would have been a bit more substantial but it is adequate. Thread-cert thread class is very loose, poor thread engagement. I would not trust engagement force to safely hold part securely to table without thread failure. Nothing like a stable set up that fails because of clamp failure. Overall clamp assembly is good but should have M12 bolt and thread-incert. Provide a respectable thread class that does not wobble and provides full thread engagement. I am returning. ... show more

    • Works great with Harbor Freight Welding Table

Works well as a conductive clamp for MIG welding. I added a splatter control (spray) the facing surfaces and the bead (from the MIG) just bounce right off. Having two of them works great - I have one with eye hook attached to some #6 welding cable and the other one is free floating. I added a little T-9 Boe Sheild to the hinge and spring points (let it sit overnight and wiped off the excess before using) to keep the clamping acting working after a few hot welds.
