Heavy Guage stainless. Fan has a smooth noise which isn't too loud. Light are great! 2 modes for lights and 3 for fan. Only thing I didn't like was taking the blue plastic protective coverings off the gratings, small pieces were left that you had to use a toothpick or small tool.

This arrives with zero instructions for installation or usage. I still don’t understand how to turn on the fan effectively. There seems to be a heat sensing mode (like a commercial hood) and a typical on/off - pick your fan speed.... Hard to figure out what “mode” it’s in...We’ve used ours for 2 1/2 years, and the lights just quit working. Three year warranty supposedly, but maybe it’s because customer service takes 3 years to return your inquiry. Customer service is non-existent. *****EDIT****** they contacted me shortly after posting this review and sent me the parts to repair the lights. And....... after about 2 months, the replacement lights quit working as well. ... show more

This bad boy works. A bit noisy but what do you expect from a 1200cfm 48” vent. I rarely have to use anything higher that speed 1.
