This is a good quality set. Used it for my 98 Lexus LX430 break job with new rotors. No problems. No broken sockets. Update 2 years latter. Solid set, still no broken sockets. I highly recommend it. By the way the name is on the top lid. Remember that when you open it.

This is an excellent set of tools for the do-it-yourself mechanic. I have used it several times working on my boat and trailer. I am very satisfied with this socket wrench set, and the price was very reasonable, too. I highly recommend it.

    • Great Starting 1/2" Ratchet & Socket Set
The main reason why I got this socket set was to get the 21mm socket to take the wheels off (and put them back on) of my 2001 Toyota Camry, so I can work on it. As time went by, I started using the rest of the items in the tool box and it's a great set of tools. The ratchet felt great, the metric sockets gripped all of the bolts (I have yet to use the SAE sockets), and the extensions are great. Though, the shorter extension doesn't hold onto the sockets as well as the long extension, occasionally leading to the socket coming off of the extension, particularly when I'm using my torque wrench. The only main criticism I have is the tool box advertises a "3/8-inch adapter," which I thought was a 1/2" F-to-3/8" M adapter, not the other way around. So, I can't use my 3/8"-drive sockets with the adapter because it's a 3/8" F-to-1/2" M (meaning my 3/8"-drive ratchet will fit the adapter to use a 1/2"-drive socket). After seeing that I had to adjust slightly, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives of this product. If you would like a good starting tool kit for a more affordable price, coming from the DIY realm, this is a great tool kit. ... show more

Like so many other buyers , the case is crap and when I opened it all the sockets are all over the place . and always will be once you carry it somewhere and then reopen it..The tools seem fine however I did get 2 15mm instead of 1ea 15mm and 1ea 14mm . This company needs to improve on the carrying case!! ... show more

i opened the case when i bought it, and like so many others here, all the sockets were loose and just rolling around freely. in addition to that, the foam insert they placed in the inside top of the lid, is only held on by one single drop of glue, which has already came off. and in addition to that, the slotted base where all of these sockets are suppossed to rest, is caved in, as if someone forced it down so hard, that it caved inward, now no matter what i do to secure these sockets, they still just roll around like nothing is there to keep them seperated. it's like a large dent or crater. i would never reccommend this set to anybody. ... show more
