So far so good on the RAKwireless Meshtastic node I am building for my roof. Takes a long time to charge but I think the charging circuit on these boards is not very powerful. Will need to do some run time testing before adding the solar enclosure. The goal with the big battery is 24/7 operation year around so we will see how it does. NOTE: the wires need to be pulled out of the connector first and swapped before you plug it into the RAK base board. Always check the polarity! EDIT: Ran the RAK Wireless node on my desk for over a month off this battery without plugging it in. This will most defiantly keep my node up during the winter here in Central CA. ... show more

  • Used to upgrade my keyboard!

I bought this battery to replace the dying 4000mah battery in my Keychron keyboard. It was a tight fit and required some modifications to the rubber gasket on the keyboard, but after getting it all wired up, it’s been fantastic! My old battery was lasting me around 2 weeks between charges. I’m currently at 2 months and 60% remaining. The math doesn’t exactly add up, but the proof that this is working a ton better is right in front of me! One thing to note if you’re going to use it for the same thing I did was that the connector that comes on this battery was larger than what my keyboard used, so it required a little bit of extra work to attach the old battery connector to the new battery ... show more

Good battery. Unfortunately, the power cables were reversed in the JST connector, and thus fried the board I was connecting it to. I should have checked first, but just assumed it would be right. This mistake cost me more that the battery.

Good and is exactly what was described, however for what I needed the polarity was reversed on the plug for my charging board so I had to carefully switch the wires so it wouldn’t short circuit out

  • Awesome for ESP32 Meshtastic Node!

Background: For those of you who use Meshtastic, all of the ESP32 based devices consume a constant 100 mA. These Meshtastic nodes momentarily spike to as much as 300 mA current draw with LoRa transmit and GPS signal acquisition. Small lithium batteries do not work well for Meshtastic on ESP32 nodes. This battery runs ESP32 Meshtastic nodes for several days. 2000 mAh batteries won't last even 24 hours. It is perfect for my Meshtastic router home node. Note that this battery is far too large for something like a Heltec V3, but it works great in the waterproof IP68 outdoor enclosure used for the router node. ... show more
