Upon receiving the machine I must admit that I was very impressed and my expectations were exceeded. My research showed that Huayee was one of the top companies for a quality excavator manufactured in China. It seems that my research was correct. The machine starts and runs great. It is also very smooth to operate and is a great value for the money. I have seen many issues with some of the "off brand" machines right out of the gate. This machine showed no signs of any issues. The steel used on the boom and grading blade seems to be very thick and held together with good quality welds and fasteners. The hydraulic thumb was a good selling point and the swing boom so that you can work in tighter spaces. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

I've found my Huayee 14c to be a very solid, well-built mini excavator. The Briggs and Stratton engine is quiet, starts easily and doesn't seem to use much fuel as I would expect. I chose this more expensive mini-ex over auction-block units due to their choice of using "case drain" hydraulic track motors. This means these motors send high pressure hyd. oil back to tank instead of blowing out a seal resulting in a hazard spill as well as trying to locate hard to find parts for a non-name brand unit.

This thing is awesome for the money. Still have to remove rear door so it doesn’t overheat. It is somewhat slow but does way more than I could without it. I have dug up over 10 smaller pine tree stumps with one about 12-14” in diameter, selectively cleared brush, unstacked pile of trees for cutting up for burning, dug burn pit, placed stumps on top of burn pile, etc. Only have about 18 hours on it so far. No gas gauge so fill tank after 1.5 hours of use. Has around 29 grease fittings but that is just the nature of an excavator. Can be a little tippy if you are not careful. Tracks can dig up yard and grass, especially maneuvering, real bad if not careful. Controls can be jerky if you don’t have part of your hands steadied on the casing around them. Operation may take many hours to get used to but it will get better as you figure it out. Grabbing things off the ground with the hydraulic thumb and bucket is easier with boom fully extended as you just don’t have the angle needed otherwise. If you are looking for a mini excavator for personal use, I highly recommend you look at this one. I used to have a tractor with backhoe and loved it but this is so much easier to move around and get access to stuff. The people on the phone and delivery person were very nice.

Within one day of ordering I was contacted by someone to arrange delivery and verify shipping address. The Huayee HY14B mini excavator arrived much quicker than expected (roughly one week, projected 3 weeks), The delivery driver brought it by truck and trailer and unloaded it to a specified location in my yard. I was not home at the time of delivery but he did give me a 4 hour heads up and I was able to arrange someone to meet him. As far as functionality goes, this thing is pretty legit for the money. I have dug up a few stumps and begun clearing a spot along a property boundary that has been neglected for some time. The blade is great for pushing debris and some minor grading tasks can be accomplished with it. The digging arm is powerful enough to nearly flip the machine over when you get a little complacent and snatch the control lever. I opted for the hydraulic thumb and am glad that I made that decision. It is powerful enough to at minimum grasp anything it will fit around. Now for the negative and some things that probably should be done to increase the life of the machine. The first time I ran the machine, I had the engine door closed and ran it for 45 mins which boiled the gas. Since that mishap, I wrapped the muffler and remove the door off the back while running. This seems to have helped tremendously but I am planning to add a fan just for my sanity. The controls are responsive, nearly too responsive, but after a few times of snapping your neck you learn the break point on the controls. I had an issue with the panel on the floor plate not wanting to come off due to the frame slightly over hanging the plate. I contacted Huayee customer support and was contacted by someone via email and text. I sent photos of the issue and they responded with some neat videos showing the machine with the engine panels off and pointing out a slotted bracket that I could adjust to be able to remove the floor plate. The video was great and he even offered a free air filter for my trouble that I declined(I cant be bought lol). I also requested a manual and some more information that they were able to send to me through email. That lead to my last concern that I encountered while removing the engine panel so I could adjust the bracket. I was using a milwaukee fuel 18v impact with a 12mm socket to remove the 4 bolts and instantly knew something wasn't right when the impact was compacting so hard in reverse that I could feel a filling shake. Whomever installed them cross threaded every single one of them. I haven't even attempted to put them back in yet because it may be pointless. I included pictures of the bolts and all 4 threaded holes that were stripped. I wasn't pleased with this at all and didn't want another free air filter so I didn't bother contacting anyone about it. I would say that if you are mechanically inclined, take pride in maintaining your equipment and have a reasonable expectation of the limitations of this machine then it will probably be a decent purchase. But I'm not reccomending it because all i got offered for my troubles was an air filter and I don't want yall getting mad at me if it tears up. If it were a stock, it's a hold. Their Customer service is actually really good, they try. One year update! In the past 12 months, I have put 42.5 hours on this machine. I have cleared a back section of a property line, some minor grading, dug a trench and worked up a handful of stumps as well as used it to move heavy objects around the yard. I am overall pleased. I have changed the oil every 10 hours since the initial break in. Other than that it's all of the maintenance I have had to do other than grease the zerts. I can now officially reccomend this thing. Great customer support!

Received it very quickly. Their customer service has been incredible. They forgot the protective screen, but quickly shipped it out. I have not experienced many companies who are as responsive as Huayee. I am very impressed. The excavator works great. I only found 6 loose bolts, most of them on the canopy. None of them in critical spots. Factory fluids were a bit gross, but I knew going in that you should always change the fluids immediately when purchasing machinery to ensure the best performance/reliability. I filled it up with ISO 46 hydraulic fluid and 10w-45 motor oil.

It’s got potential. With less than 3hrs on the machine it’s leaking gasoline. Arrived with poor fluids as expected, cross threaded bolts etc. I paid extra for this unit hoping to get better quality. Would give it 3 or 4 stars if it worked for more than a couple hours. I’m sure returning or exchanging this will be a breeze… Edit: return was approved, despite me requesting an exchange. I’m suppose to arrange delivery first of course. Why would I pay some absurd fee to return a DEFECTIVE unit. I’m better off fixing it myself or buying a new motor to install.

Preface by saying : First time operating an Excavator, and did a lot of research before buying. Start off with the bad. 1. Delivery happened really quick, much quicker than their estimate. HOWEVER, the communication on when delivery would be - never happened. I received multiple voicemails about the delivery driver being at my house when I'm multiple states away. And apparently they were communicating with the wrong customer for my delivery? Very upsetting having new equipment dropped off 20 feet from a high-traffic main road. Gladly it wasn't stolen. 2. I never received paper instruction/owner/repair manuals. Asked multiple times. Ended up receiving poorly translated pdfs, and a couple how-to-do videos. 3. The first hour of use, had a track come half-way off. Assuming my fault? But, wouldn't proper track tension prevent that? 4. One side track appears to have more turning power than the other. Not a big deal. The good/great: Digs amazingly. Rarely feel like it doesn't have enough power for the size machine. Using it on stumps - that it is obviously not designed for. (3+ ft across). Rips thin trees out of the ground with ease. Roots and all. Some give up a fight - but the machine still wins. Quite well balanced. Counterweight is sufficient for max-power pulls, usually without fear of flipping. Overall, satisfied. Not with the lack of physical manual & horrible delivery experience. But the machine has been, and will get a lot of use. Already reclaiming land quickly from overgrowth. For the money, why would I buy a used / older machine for twice the money for the same results?

This sucker's powerful! As we all know, with great power comes great responsibility. It isn't the easiest beast to master, but i believe as long as i respect that power and treat Diggit gently, he'll do what i need. (Good boy, Diggit!) This isn't like driving a car. He bucks and throws a fit if you give him too much gas or over control. It can be frustrating to move forward without bucking like riding an unbroke horse. I caused some damage learning to ease into the controls. Do not let anyone near you and your digger! We had some close calls until my sister figured out i didn't know what i was doing and i nearly clocked her a couple times. Keep people away, including children, adults, dogs, neighbors, the curious, etc. including those who think they can help or give advice. You can do a lot on a single tank of gas, though. Once you get the hang of all the controls, you can do some amazing digging pretty quickly. Dug holes for planting trees in short order; i'd still be digging those holes by hand three days later. But there's quite a learning curve, which i believe i'll be working on for the rest of my life. Some folks make it look so easy. I'm up for the challenge. Should you buy this model or something similar, give yourself lots of time and practice to get used to using this piece of equipment. It ain't like breaking a horse. It'll break you way before you break it. And it might kill you in the process. Put your seatbelt on. Add some side mirrors. Warn people to stay well away! Remember that when your pointing backwards that the forward/reverse controls are now reversed. Drop the plow to give you some stability when sitting and digging. Stay away from hills and inclines. Don't over extend. Don't expect to win any races. Ease into the controls. When you lose control, let go, throw your hands up and away from the controls. Let Diggit and you return to a zen state. Calm down, breathe, and start again. I am a 67 year old woman with no heavy equipment experience and i recommend this product. And it's fun as hell. Can you diggit?
