with a bad back, pulling the cord several times to start the old engine was a real pain. I bought this so i can start by battery and no more pulling . it was a direct replacement for the old engine i added some gas and ( I did not buy a battery as i will only use the woodsplitter a dozen times before it's put up for the winter ) pulled the cord once and it started right up. easier than you could imagine. I have since used the splitter several more times and it always starts first pull. I will get a battery for next year. But for now it works so nice and my back is not stressed out trying to start it.

Engine has been in daily operations for two weeks. I have it attached to a Udor KAPPA 55 pump and is used to spray pine trees for pine bark beatles. Power is excellent. Staff reports engine is louder then the one it replaced and seems to use more fuel per hour then the engine it replaced. Overall I am very happy with the motor and especially so at it's price point. Time will tell on long term durabilty since it will be used extensively over the next 5 months.

Awesome motor!!!! Unfortunately my starter burnt up but stuff happen... they shipped me a new one out!! Definitely a great alternative an something different with the color scheme. Definitely will buy more in the future!!

I bought this motor to re-power an old golf cart. After installing, the electric starter failed after the 10th - 20th start. I asked customer service if they could send a new starter. They denied, wanted me to pay $40 for a new key switch. I sent them a video where I applied 12 volts directly to the starter with no action. They refused. I bought a new starter for $29 fixed it my self. Go buy a harbor freight engine, or just get the used one from marketplace. Having a warranty with this new engine means nothing.

Runs good so far. Used this to replace a 6.5hp kohler on my tractor supply wood splitter. Had to drill new mounting holes on splitter to be able to make room for electric starter.
