I recently bought the Inverter 1000W Car Power Inverter for a camping trip in my 2003 Subaru Outback, and it was perfect for my needs! Coupled with a 4 AWG Battery Cable kit, it worked GREAT! This inverter is great! Powerful enough to power up amplified speaker and laptop at the same time and with power left over. Has a fantastic cooling fan to prevent overheating. The two options for connecting cords are easy to change and very handy. Small for convenience but very powerful. I strongly recommend it.

Ok so the story goes I was trying to hook up a house electric 400 watt max start up 450 heater and the sad thing is you can’t use the cigarette lighter socket which totally defeats the purpose of the cable least to me now I know it’s not stable to the fact that socket’s can only be pushed to 150 watts maximum one it will blow the fuse and if you put a 30 amp fuse then you risk the chance of causing the wires to burn and take out your ride again this new age your telling me we can’t run products off the lighter socket? Lies of course you can but unfortunately this inverter gives you long cigarette socket cable but gives you 18in battery cables how is that going to work ? Again it doesn’t so now your spending 60 dollars for new cables to permanently mount this inverter but I don’t want to keep it permanently just need it for 12 hours or so less after going to Lowe’s and buying 3foot of 6gauge cable and connectors now I’m over 200 hundred dollars for this temporary project I get it all installed only to find that this inverter can’t handle the load saywhat?!!! But I read the description and it says you can I research this before I bought this thing so now it just sits there and beeps the heater is max 450 and runs on 400 watts but this one is a 1000 watt inverter I should be well under the maximum of this inverter.so needlessly it’s a gods inverter if you using it for a laptop or a pencil sharpener or a phone charger but everything else that world needs it for your out of luck on this one , so I had to buy a 1500 watt inverter and i ran two heater and a laptop and a charger so buy a 1500 not the 1000 that way you will have plenty of power to run tools tv microwave and it comes with longer cables and a heavy duty power cable , unfortunately all inverter you buy at the store they are now not coming with any power cables . My advice is 3 foot 6gauge cable and connectors from Lowe’s or who ever and you can mount or temporarily mount as I did the inverter and the cables will not burn up or turn red

Broke after a handful of uses. Comically, it died the day the return window closed. Shorted out and immediately blows the fuse of whatever it's plugged into. Worked great until then.

I live in a state where half the residents lost power. So, for the future, I am trying to choose between a car power inverter and an inverter generator. A car power inverter is basically a piece of electronics that is powered by the car, so it seems more convenient than a self contained generator. I have a small Honda Fit, and apparently the alternator is so efficient that it puts out enough electricity to power the car, but is not enough to power a 1,000 watt inverter. So, I was not able to use this inverter. I have looked at a lot of inverter product descriptions, and none of them mention the importance of checking the capacity of the car's alternator. This inverter is well designed regarding set up. Alligator clips are easy to connect with the battery, while the cord connects with the inverter using two screws, very convenient and hard to mess up. The problem is when I try to run a space heater using the wall outlet, the wattage reads about 450. When I run it off this inverter, the wattage drops to 330. Similar drop in wattage using a blender. I hooked up a wattage monitor to the inverter itself. And, it shows 89 volts when the car is on, and curiously, the voltage increases to 94 when the car is turned off. My household voltage is normally 110. So, I have concluded my Honda Fit is incapable of powering a 1,000 watt inverter, and will be buying a generator.

The first one I received was broken upon arrival (the 12V plug ins were pushed in and flopping around). I sent it back and got a replacement. The replacement, as stated in the fine print, was an older model without the USB C port. I used the unit overnight while doing a night shift for construction management on a highway. I was able to keep my laptop, phone, and light beacon operational all night with no issues. The size of the unit fits nicely on the center floor boards of the truck and was very convenient to reach when plugging in. I wish I had received one of the newer units with the USB C, however this is sturdy and does what i need. The USB A slots worked to charge my halo headlamp battery. The inverter comes with a 12 V plug as well as alligator clips for use off the battery. It is super easy to switch between the two, but not something I will likely need. The extra fuses are nice as well in case something pops during the shift I can replace it.
