Everybody was saying it smelt weird when opened, and yeah it did, but it went away after only a couple of days. My daughter is super comfortable with this and hardly ever fusses in it. It’s kind of hard to tighten down on the seat, but that’s to be expected. You just really gotta pull it, and kind of “break it in.” I would not recommend this if you don’t have an suv or something similar, it’s pretty large and definitely wouldn’t fit in a car rear facing. ... show more

Other reviews have stated that this car seat is bulky. Believe them. I have a full sized, larger SUV, and the fit for rear facing is really tight. As in it touches the back of my front car seat. I don't know that anything other than an SUV or minivan where this car seat is going to fit. But if you have the room, it's a really nice seat, and looks like it is built to last. Our 14 month old seems to love it, and has taken several long trips in it, and she seems to be very comfortable. ... show more

    • Not as nice as the Maxi Cosi Pria 85 Max Air, these have rough/course fabric

I have had the maxi Cosi Pria 85 max Air for the last four years and my daughter loved that one. I bought two of the three 3-in-1 from this listing for my daughter and son. The first thing I noticed an opening the boxes is that the seat in the box was not wrapped in a plastic bag or anything and the box packaging had gaps in it due to thin cardboard and poor taping of the box, so it wasn’t very clean inside of the box. When I removed the seats from the boxes, one of them noticeably had the white styrofoam of the headrest exposed with no fabric covering it which is kind of strange. I was able to pull the fabric over the styrofoam to conceal the styrofoam headrest. Maybe this was a manufacturing/assembly issue? Did not have that problem with the Pria 85. Next, I noticed that the texture of the fabric is much rougher/courser on the wraparound headpiece and all of the baby inserts than that of the Pria 85. Maybe that is to be expected since this is a cheaper product (about 30% lower cost for me) than I paid for the Pria 85 four years ago? The fabric on the Priya 85 is very soft and smooth, where the fabric on these is a bit rougher/courser. Just a few days before this I bought two other seats from a big box store for 25% cheaper than these 3-in1’s for another car and these 3-in-1 maxi car seats do not seem to differentiate themselves from those seats by much. Although I do like the shape of the maxis more than the competition. So overall I am disappointed that this was nothing similar to the Pria 85 that I previously purchased. My wife was disappointed that these seats do not have that quick release where you can undo the chest connection piece with one hand like the Pria 85. The shape of the seat, and the functionality of the raising and lowering of the seat headrest seems identical to the Pria 85. So other than the poorer quality fabric, the manufacturing quality issues that I experienced, and the lack of the quick release chest thing, I suppose the seats are similar to the Pria 85’s. ... show more

We love this car seat for our son. It was easy to install and fits securely. I like how comfortable it is for my son as well. It’s a bit bulky but that is to be expected with convertible car seats. Overall we are happy.
