I've found Batoca's line of polishers well built, good performers, and very reasonably priced for what you get. This 15mm polisher is no exception. I'm impressed with its ergonomics, and after using it, even more impressed with its performance. It has an easy to see 6 speed tactile thumb wheel conveniently placed at the top of the handle. It appears to be a soft start machine, but quickly ramps up. Another desirable feature is its variable speed trigger, not commonly found on machines at this price. A trigger lock, easily engaged with your thumb, is located on the handle. Once running and locked, a simple press on the trigger disengages the lock. As for performance, the machine is very powerful. To test stalling, I used the blue moderate polishing pad that came with the machine, and a hint of polish for lubrication. I tested it on a glass end table because the clear coat on my 21 yo car is showing its age. I kept increasing the pressure on the polisher to the point of ridiculous. The orbital (entire pad moving in larger circular motions) would just not stall. Even the oscillating (smaller circular motions) portion did not stall. Call me impressed! In actual practice, a small valley situated on my hood would stall the oscillating function when using lower speeds. This valley stalls all but my direct drive Flex. I turned up the speed, finessed it, and polished the valley with no problem. Did I mention this thing is powerful? On the flat surfaces of my vehicle, this thing can't be stopped, and reminds me of my Flex direct drive DA. Again, the orbital action never stalled regardless the speed. I tried it on raised edges, valleys, vertically, horizontally, and it just kept chugging along. The machine arrived fully assembled, with a 5 inch hook and loop nicely vented backing plate. A 1/8" raised rectangular strip on the top runs the width of the polisher allowing to set it down with the pad side up. It's very stable when set down this way. The polisher comes with a spare set of brushes. Disassembly of the polisher is required in order to replace the brushes. The manual does not show the procedure, nor does it show a parts list. The cord is an 18 AWG cord, measures 16 ft from end to end, and is a bit more flexible than others I've used. A nice feature is that it's removable. It has a locking collar and it attaches securely to the machine with a simple twist. Storing the machine is much easier without the cord attached. A minor concern, should the cord get damaged, is its proprietary connector. I gently polished the hood and front fenders of my car. The clear coat and paint is showing its age, with lots of swirls, etching, chips and damage over the years. I used the blue medium polishing pad and 3D One compound/polish. Everything polished up nicely in short time, and the polisher performed flawlessly. I did find the machine a bit loud in a high pitched whiney way. In summary, you get a powerful capable machine for your money and it comes well appointed. This polisher has earned a place in my polisher arsenal and I like it very much. The one of a kind paint scheme adds to the cool factor too. I've quickly become a fan of the Batoco line of polishers. For DIYer's and weekend warriors I can, with good conscience, recommend this polisher.

He's so happy I got this for him as an early birthday present. It came with everything he needs to buff the trucks and cars he's been working on so he can put the finishing touches on them once he's repaired and restored them. The quality and style of this one caught my eye and he confirmed that when he opened his present and wah-lah! He said this buffer will speed up his work and he won't be polishing by hand anymore.

The media could not be loaded. Right away this looks like a toy for your toys! And this thing has some power! Love the design of this polisher! A tool that looks great hanging on my tool wall! I really like the soft start but love the high torque power! Little effort with a great result! Versatile buffer attachments and speed! Three different buffer pads, perfect for different jobs! This is easy to control, not heavy, super long cord, and low vibration! No more hand polishing that takes all day! Overall this is a must needed quality car buffer at a really great value!
