    • Fantastic car seat with a major learning curve
Installing this car seat for the first and even second or third time was challenging for us. But once we got the hang of it (and doing it properly), we have no complaints. EXCEPT, that if you have two of these (or any toddler car seat) installed on the outboards of a bench seat, installing them can be very tricky because of the way you have to rotate the car seat to lift the seat out of the base and access the belt path for installation. Lifting it out with another toddler car seat on the bench can get very tight, and wonky as the emme does not have proper space to rest out of the base while you install seatbelt if there’s another car seat on the bench. If you only have one car seat or an infant seat on the bench with this one, it’s a non issue. Additionally- the swivel feature will not work fully if there is a car seat installed in the seat directly beside this seat. With that said, we have two toddler seats on a bench seat and have made it work. With proper installation the swivel works perfectly for us. We have never had an issue. My child is incredibly happy and comfortable in this seat. I would absolutely buy it again. ... show more

Hands down, this is the best and most convenient car seat I have ever owned. I think any issues people are having are user error. It’s so easy to use. So secure. And again, just so convenient. My 10 month old didn’t like her standard car seat, but she falls asleep so well in this. And is so clam. I can recline her for more comfort, and spin her around to face me for anything (refill on snacks, adjust anything, etc) when I am in the driver seat and not driving.     • Looks pretty, not functional or safe
It’s a beautiful, plush car seat with some major issues. First, the crotch strap is WAY too short and can only be minimally adjusted. My average sized 8 month old had the crotch buckles digging into her thighs. I cannot imagine how you could use the car seat long term. Second, it rotates easily when NOT pulling the release. After diving deeper into reviews, these are not rare issues and I absolutely do not feel comfortable using this car seat. For the price point, I expect much more. ... show more

Safety and comfort are number one for us. We take long road trips and needed something very comfortable for the kids. After researching we saw this one and I ordered two of them. Our son was starting to outgrow his Nuna Pipa. We have a 4 year old and 1 year old. We have had them about a week and we love them. Easy to turn, very cushioned, spacious for room to grow, great quality. The only thing I maybe think about is the cup holder not being the most sturdy. Time will tell. Overall 8.5/10.     • Son is so comfy, rotating feature is great
First, I want to address the reviews stating that the latch to rotate the car seat is getting "stuck". I, too, though it was getting stuck at first and was so disappointed! However, after messing with it more, you will come to realize it is not getting stuck at all. You have to press all your fingers down with equal pressure on the latch for it to actually let the car seat turn. If you do this, it will work every time. To me, this is a safety feature! If you have had your eye on this car seat, do not be discouraged by the feedback saying the turning mechanism gets stuck; it does not. My only feedback would be putting somewhere in the manual a little note to let parents know that you really have to apply pressure to the entire latch for it to engage. My son is so comfy in it he falls asleep within minutes! I have been a faithful Maxi-Cosi customer, and I am so happy with this car seat! ... show more

    • Nice but it miss the mark to be perfect
The side shoulder cushions have very sharp corners at the Velcro that holds them in place. I am scared that my baby would scratch himself with that part. If they would change that it would have been perfect.

    • Worth every penny!
I absolutely love this car seat! I have one for my 17 month old and one for my 1 month old as well! They are super comfortable, honestly I wish my actual seat felt as nice as theirs did with all the padding. It’s easy to use and we absolutely love the magnetic chest clip, it helps when you only have one hand free, and although I thought I would have anxiety over it being secure enough, I actually haven’t, we messed with it and couldn’t get it open without doing the proper method to get the clip to open, which put my mind at ease. We previously had the evenflo revolve and I can honestly say I would never go back, this has better safety features, better comfort for the kids, and they both are convertible and will last as long as your kids need car seats!
