This bed is so cool! My 3 year old daughter LOVES it! It took quite a while to put together with my husband and I both working on it. I would say maybe 2 hours? Assembly was pretty easy and the directions were clear, the only issue we had was with the screws going into the planks under the mattress. I love the fact that there is still good play space underneath, though it isn't the tallest its not a big deal to me, I didn't want anything too tall for a toddler anyways. I saw a lot of reviews about the slide being to steep or too slick, and I don't think its that steep, as far as slickness goes, I would give it a medium slick speed level lol. I would definitely recommend teaching your kids the rules on the slide and how NOT to go down it once its assembled! All in all I love this bed and I hope the longevity of it is good! Its an awesome price considering how long they'll be able to use it! P.S- Making this bed is literally the bane of my existence! If you have a thick comforter it will be a pain, but I believe in us and I believe us mothers/fathers will be able to conquer this pain in our behinds and the pain it will be to teach your child how to make it! LOL ... show more

Decent bed for the price. The hardware parts are not labeled. Before starting assembly, I put them in paper bowls and wrote the part numbers in the bowls once I knew which ones they were. That was time consuming, but SOOO helpful in the process. I believe it made the actual assembly process go much smoother. I had to wait a week for a replacement part to finish the assembly, which was very frustrating. My 5 year old was so excited about his new bed, and having to wait was rough. He slept underneath the unfinished bed on the floor like a fort, so that made it a little more fun for him. The company was so great about sending a replacement part as quickly as they could. It got finished tonight after our vacation and my son is beyond thrilled with his new bed. I think this bed should last him several years and he's a big kid. He's 5 yrs, 3 months, 4 ft tall and 66 lbs. He's all about color, so we are planning a tie dye curtain to make him a "fort" underneath. Overall, I would recommend this bed, just be prepared to wait for replacement parts if needed. You'll need.proof of damage and proof of purchase to get your parts. ... show more

I like how high up it is! We put my toddlers toys under it that he can still play with! It made more room in his room for stuff! He loves the slide and actually climbs up there just to watch his shows. It is really sturdy. I climb up there and lay with him and I weigh 160lbs and don't even feel like it'll give way. One person can build it but it'll take longer. I started alone and then had help from my husband and 2 people makes it so much easier. Especially in the later stages. This bed is fantastic! The low loft is great for younger kids but still leaves enough room underneath for reading/play/storage. I bought curtains that hang underneath with a door and curtains so it’s like she has a playhouse. Also added a set of those cube bookshelves underneath to organize books and toys. I put it together mostly myself, would obviously have been faster with two people but it was technically doable solo. This review is for the low loft style, when my daughter is older she won’t be able to play under the bed but we can use it for storage. You cannot fit a desk under the low loft ... show more

    • Great frame! Instructions could be better.

First off, my son loves this bed frame. The loft is high enough to give me and him some extra space in his room. We live a fairly small house so this helps a lot. It’s not too high of a loft where I am going to be worried about his safety getting up and down. There are two things to note. First, the instructions are terrible haha. Just some errors and weird printed image perspectives. Second, if you’ve got the model with the steps make sure you connect the steps and bed frame half on a flat surface. It’s was one of the last steps. I slide a small flat plank under the two ends when I was attaching the brackets so the legs of both would sit flush on the ground. This is really only and issue when connecting them on carpet. The stairs are lighter and will sit higher on the carpet compared to the heavier bed frame. I think this product is a 5/5 at the price I paid for it. Some how I got the frame with the stairs for $370 a couple weeks ago, but now I see it is up to $642. I clearly got a bargain haha. At $642 I’d probably give this product a 4/5 rating but it’s still good. ... show more

Honestly was a great buy. Was a little concerned with the price of the bed frame, but it’s for sure could quality. Now it’s not the best, but I’m confident that it will be safe to play/sleep on. Taking off one star because of the stairs. Disapponted because the decent size of each stair could have been used for the extra storage. There are just empty spaces under for the bins. I would agree to pay more but to have storages inside each stair. The assembly was time consuming.

Two of the three steps had huge cracks in them all the way through and were wrapped well so it looks like they missed inspecting the parts before packing. One piece had a yellowy stain.
