Exceptional quality, exceptional safety with the steps, my children LOVE it!
Color: White Style: Bunk + Staircase
My two young kids share a room and needed bigger beds, which we didn't have space for so I started looking at bunk beds. Many were Chinese in origin with typically suspect quality or janky metal frames, so I decided to invest in something better for my children. I also really dislike the idea of a ladder to get to the top bed, because what if a child is sick or has an injury? The ladder becomes a barrier and liabilty. So when I saw this one with the steps, I LOVED the idea. I stretched my budget, but after buying so much cheap furniture, I am blown away by actual quality. The bunk bed is real wood, the holes are drilled ACCURATELY, everything fits extremely well, and the hardware (bolts, pins) are very heavy duty. The white paint/finishing is extremely uniform and high quality, with no chemical smells. Assembly was a big and long process, however, the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It was a big chore to assemble because it's built so well with a lot of parts rather than being simple and cheap. As a single, relatively strong man I was able to do it all by myself, but it generally requires two people. The bottom bed and top bed are actually assembled separately and then stacked. This is actually a brilliant design because it means they can be unstacked and used separately as non-bunk beds (although I don't know why you would do that because bunk beds are AWESOME and my children absolutely LOVE it.) After the first few months I noticed it was slightly wobbly, so I tightened the bolts up and it has been perfectly firm and sturdy in the many months since. I either didn't tighten the bolts well enough initially, or it benefits from a one-time tightening of the bolts after an initial usage period. Anyway, that is no criticism of the quality since it has been firm and sturdy since. One of my children is on the spectrum and loves the comfort from the more enclosed feeling of the bottom bed. My other loves the top. This bunk bed is tall enough to give space to the bottom child and the top mattress is at about my face level. The rails around the top are the perfect size for safety and you can surround the inside with pillows and plushies to make it more comfortable and safe if you wish. The steps are supposed to be fastened to the rest of the bunk bed, but I didn't do that, so I can more easily pull them away and move the bunk beds for cleaning and better access when changing fitted sheets, etc. They are a very sturdy unit unto themselves. I truly can't say enough good stuff about this and wish I had something this awesome when I was a child. I bought two standard twin size hybrid mattresses which fit perfectly and are comfortable on the (strong) slats of the bunk bed. It's absolutely worth it, even if you have to stretch your budget. ... show more

Best bunk bed I’ve ever seen
Color: White Style: Bunk + Staircase
My wife and I bought this bed hoping that it would be a good bunk bed for our 7 and 5 year olds, and we were not disappointed to say the least. This bunk bed is 100% made of real wood, which means it’s heavy and very sturdy, and we expect to last for years if not generations. It is also very clear by the materials and workmanship that this bed is of very high quality materials and very high quite quality workmanship. Even the slats which hold the mattress are higher quality than most other kids or adult beds. Is not the cheap pine that’s usually used, it’s higher quality. Additionally the finishing is just as high quality as the rest of the construction of the bed. The paint appears to be high quality and painted very well. This isn’t a cheap bunk bed but this bunk bed is the least you’ll need to buy. One last note: the top bed can easily be removed to be used as a regular bed. This is a huge bonus. ... show more

Sturdy but support is extremely slow
Color: Clay Style: Bunk + Staircase
The bed is good, assembly is straight forward but to put it together you need two people - heavy. Which is a plus. Support is slow. One of the threaded inserts was stripped so they sent me a replacement part. Waited 3 weeks and bought threaded inserts of suitable size to fix the issue. 1.5 months later - replacement came in. Other than that, the top bed has a very tall side (fence? Forgot the word), with 6inch mattress that is. Also it is a solid soft wood. Like it ... show more

High quality.
Color: White Style: Bunk + Staircase
High quality, and reasonably easy to assemble. I planned on four hours, having to assemble the whole thing alone with two children. Took me closer to eight, but it was the assembly of the stairs that really held me up. Sturdy, and good enough to last for many years. Worth the price, for any who are on the fence. ... show more

Sturdy and well worth the money.
Color: White Style: Bunk + Staircase
I found this Bunk bed with the stair case to be a good find, the Bed is solid and sturdy, you can install the stairs at either end, and the top bunk is has plenty of depth with the mattress to keep a child from falling off, also the beds can stay separated. A 1 year manufacturer warranty and the instructions are relatively easy, but have a second person at least for the top bunk placement it is heavy. Compared to others for the price and the build I'm very pleased with it! ... show more

Money well spent
Color: Clay Style: Bunk + Staircase
This bed was super easy to put together. Arrived in perfect condition!! The staircase was a little confusing and we had to unscrew it and start over a couple times, but that is my only complaint. My boys are super happy and so are we! Money well spent for Christmas and looks great!

Safe and high quality
Color: Clay Style: Bunk + Staircase
Kids love the bed and I feel that it is a high quality and safe bed based on about 5 months of rowdy boy x2 use.

Good, solid beds. But could be better.
Color: Clay Style: Bunk + Staircase
This product comes in two boxes, one for the bedframes and one for the steps. Make sure you receive both at the same time. Get yourself a rechargeable ratchet, 4m and 5m hex sockets, impact driver with screwdriver bit, and an electric drill with a 3/8 bit. Unbox everything and lay out the parts and hardware, making sure every part listed in the instructions is present (I wasn't missing anything). The instructions can be confusing, so read them closely and take your time and try and visualize what the instruction drawings are trying to show you. I have assembled dozens of furniture pieces over the years and these still took me about 5 hours each (I bought two beds) to assemble using the power tools I mentioned. Just be careful not to overtighten the bolts and screws if using power equipment. You'll still need the provided hex wrenches for certain screws on the handrails and metal support bracket screws. Once assembled, these are solid units but I'm only giving three stars because of the confusing instructions (no pictures, just drawings, no text) and the fact that several holes were not drilled out correctly. Specifically, the upper support post (parts 7 and 8) holes that slip over the metal dowels placed in the lower post holes weren't drilled deep enough on both beds I received and each upper post had to be drilled about 1/2 inch deeper to sit flush with the lower posts. Striking them with a soft blow hammer made no difference. They would not sit flush. Also, some of the through holes weren't clear of shavings and debris and had to be drilled clear on both beds. I would also suggest building the top bed frame on top of the lower bed frame rather than build it separately and have to haul it up in place in one piece, which isn't easy for one person to do. I'd also substitute the provided 4 metal bar support frame screws with larger screws. The ones included in the kit are way too small, even though the wooden support slats seem to be have sufficient load carrying capability. ... show more
