This dog door is a little more complicated to install than the typical dog door but is certainly worth it. The hardware (screws, etc) that it came with were terrible, as were the instructions. But if you've installed a dog door or done some handiwork in the past, you don't really need them. I used my own self tapping screws and the door worked brilliantly. I like that it connects to the house rather than connecting to itself and just sandwiching the wall. I also appreciate that it has a metal frame rather than plastic, as I have a very large dog that has broken plastic dog doors in the past. It fit perfectly between the beams in the wall, too. The magnetic double flaps do a great job of keeping the hot desert air out even on windy days. Most importantly, its easy for my aging Great Dane and middle-aged Dachshund to use. Its tall enough that the big guy doesn't have to bend and the short guy doesn't have to jump.

Good install instructions and template. Install was easier than expected. My dogs are using it and NOT scratching on my door now!!! yay ! But you have to remember to put those security/nighttime/locking panels in when you don’t want them goin in and out. I have forgotten a few times. But overall I’m happy with it !

Very happy with this pet door. I have two labs that spend their days going in and out the door. I have had this for about a year and the flaps are still working great. I really like the dual flaps that both insulate the the opening and prevent wind from blowing the flaps open. The magnets on the sides of the flaps definitely help keep the flaps straight and sealed. The flush mounting is much more attractive than some of the bulky plastic framed pet doors I have had in the past. I used the provided Pop Rivets that are hidden to the inside edge of the pet door, making it a very secure and clean installation. No complaints from me or the dogs. Its a win

I really like how sturdy the door is the magnets are great. I like the design of the aluminum block off plat it’s much more sturdy that the plastic ones you get on others doors. The only complaint I have is in very cold weather “-10f” the outside flap snapped in half. It’s less than a month old. Replacement was easy to order from Amazon but price is half of what I paid for the whole door. That is why I’m only giving it 3 stars.

The media could not be loaded. If you are looking for a good doggy door look no further. This thing is nice and it even has magnets on the 2 flaps so after it opens it closes immediately. It was really easy to get my puppy to use it as well. All in all very happy with this purchase. Side note, my buddy is handyman and when I helped him install it he even said it was the nicest doggy door he’s ever installed. He said he’s installed at least 3 or 4 this year.

I was initially very impressed as it seemed sturdy, well made and was attractive. Directions for assembling it were easy to follow. However when it came to installing the flap I was very concerned with how tiny the screws were like between 1/8 to 1/4 inch and how flimsy the metal bar was that the screws attached to. My installer checked to make sure the flap closed properly. In last than 1/2 dozen uses the flap flew off and the screws were lost . My dog is a 40 pound Border Collie .. this is advertised as strong enough for a 200 pound dog. Well the opening is the correct size but the construction too poor to handle the weight 1/4 of the size of the dog it was designed for.

Update! It’s now almost spring and it’s still a great door. I took one flap out while we trained which did the trick, then easily added it back. Still very pleased! Disclaimer: We've only had it installed for a day. I'll try to remember to update next spring after we've had it through at least one cold season. I can't speak much to installation since our handyman did it for us, but it didn't take him long at all to install it. He's familiar with how to do it though, so I'm not sure if it's actually easy or that it was just easy for him. The door itself is very sturdy and the flaps secure very well to the magnets. He added some caulking to help seal it but I'm not sure that was even necessary. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid and secure it is with the locks on. Of course, just having a doggie door makes the door itself less secure, but I would feel comfortable here alone as long as it was locked. Overall, I'm so pleased and relieved that it's such good quality. I'd spend quite a bit of time researching different doors and this was definitely the right decision. Now to train these cute little beasts to use it!

Purchased and installed on our back door. Work very well for a few months. One day one of the two doors came right off. I blame our dog because how rambunctious she is. Now this winter we got into some really cold days and our dog came busting in and shattered the last door. My complaint is the cost of a replacement door. The total cost of purchasing this was approx. $190 and that was fine. Now to replace both doors the cost would be $70 per door coming to $140. Can't believe that the price is that much. I could understand the cost if it was to replace two flaps, but does not. Things happen and I understand that. Over all it is a good product, but if your animal runs in and out like ours does think twice before buying.
