Easy to install and works well. The ability to move the top or bottom out of the way independently makes it perfect to still be able to open the door while leaving the bottom blocked to prevent a toddler from pulling down on the lever.

I was skeptical at first about the quality of this. We have a toddler and know how to open the front door on his own that is why i grabbed this. I was surprised by the quality and how it was easy to install. Now our front door is safe!

i ordered these for my autistic 5 yrs old son to not go in the bathroom & constantly flush the toilet 24/7. it took him all of week for this item to completely break & be useless. the sticky pad on the back ripped off my door painting even when it was on for just 5 minutes. my son was able to move the latches rendering it a waste of money pretty quickly. after a few uses there was no more tension on the latches, meaning it unlocks when you barely touch it, no button pressing needed. the center piece is far too bulky to successfully fit behind almost any door handle if i’m being honest. i think it’s worth bitting the bullet & paying the $15 for the safetyfirst version of this. the center is thinner & it stays locked. if i could 0 star i would so quickly.

The product works exactly as it should. It's held up well so fat to some rough use. The only problem was that the sticky part on the back just was not sticky enough to even hold the weight of itself. Thankfully I had some other stuff to use.

Just a reminder though.. if it’s in the locked position and you leave using another door, you won’t be able to open the door from the other side.
