- Data Retention : When the measurement reading is unstable, press the HOLD button to fix the reading, and the data hold button is convenient for reading and recording
- Backlight : Press the backlight button for 2 seconds to turn on the backlight for easy reading in dark places. The backlight will automatically turn off after 15 seconds
- Overload Protection : There are two fuses on the internal circuit board of the instrument: F250mA/250V, F10A/250V two PTC thermistor protection circuits to prevent circuit damage due to wrong measurement
- Automatic Sleep Function : When the meter has not been operated for 15 minutes, it will automatically shut down to maintain the power, which is convenient for next use

I looked at a number of similar meters and this one seemed to be the best value. It is good to see they are still selling them a year later and that the "brand" hasn't disappeared the way so many Chinese "ABCFUMERIQAXYZ"-ish brands have here at zamazom. (rolleyes)

It is adequate for my limited uses. I have a much more expensive unit in storage and it would be a pain to go dig it out. So, I got this. It worked just fine for my limited needs. For the money, well worth it.

The unit feels solidly made and has a nice backlight that you can toggle on and off. I appreciate that it takes (removable) batteries and does work with NiMH rechargeable (so you don't have to keep throwing alkaline or button/coin batteries at it). As far as I can tell, the readings seemed accurate for each measurement type (though my old meter that this replaced was on its way out so I use it for comparison). The leads come with plastic sheathing that make it easier to use for certain applications but can be removed for ones where you want a longer probe. The carrying case is plain but effective.

Just as another customer complained, it was advertised as also reading frequency. That's the main reason I bought it. It does NOT. I will now start shopping on another site for a frequency reading multimeter.
