Here is the finished product. I ordered 9x9 as the place we wanted it was 8x8 and that was the closest I could get. Figuring it would extend a few inches and I would be ok with that. Once we got the frame built we set it on the patio and it is an exact fit! And I mean exact in all 4 corners. We were able to anchor the supports in the concrete. We have shade now and privacy. We can enjoy the rain (if we ever get any) while being outside. It’s hard to say if you will get 9x9 or closer to 8x8

This should be a one-star rating based on customer service. The only reason it is two-stars is because the overall product was reasonably good quality and the installation instructions were easy to follow. This product was in use less than 30-days because of a defect, and then it was returned for a refund. Now for the rest: Quality - Good, not great. Assembly - Easy to follow. Canopy Fabric - Works reasonably well in drizzle to light rainfall. The area under the canopy does not stay dry in moderate to heavier rainfall. Even in the light rainfall, the underside of the fabric exhibited water drops. Durability - Unknown. But when disassembled, there was rust stained water residue on the concealed part of the posts. Not sure how it got there; likely from the water on the underside of the fabric entered from the hole in the top of the post. The defect: The four posts arrive in an upper half and a lower half for each post location. The posts are made to screw together so each one acts as a single post. Three of the four posts would not screw together. Unfortunately, this was not discovered until the last assembly step. When disassembling for return, it was discovered the female part of the post threads was pushed too far into the post so the threads could not be engaged. This was clearly a manufacturing defect, and there was likely not a quality control step to make sure it did not happen. I contacted MasterCanopy right away by email (their preferred method). They did reply promptly in less than 24-hours and asked for more information to make sure they could sent the correct replacement parts. The requested information was sent less than 36-hours later. Unfortunately, MasterCanopy did not respond again. Follow email was sent giving another chance before the 30-day return window expired. MasterCanopy never responded, so their customer support/service was initially good and then was awful. It's doubtful another MasterCanopy product would be purchased in the future. Just be aware, if you order one of their canopies what to expect. It's very inconvenient spending over two-hours assembling the canopy, find out it's not 100% water proof, has defective parts, and then need to spend another 2-hours plus disassembling, boxing and shipping it back for a refund.

To be honest with you, I was initially unimpressed with this item because of a very small thing ... one of the machine screws holding part of the frame together hadn't ever been installed, and another one had been forced so that the threads were messed up on it and it wasn't properly installed. We're talking about somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 cents worth of hardware here, and the fact that it wasn't right was discovered while setting it up intending to use it for an afternoon. That's the bad part. The good part is that, other than someone's lapse in quality control and/or assembly, the components appear to be very well made and are of sturdy material. Out of all the fasteners installed in this thing, I don't understand why two were incorrect ... but maybe the assembler got distracted. Who knows? Mistakes happen. I asked the seller if he could mail me replacement hardware, but he didn't have those parts on hand (something he said he'll take care of in the future). I found similar parts that will work at a local hardware store, and the seller went out of his way to make up for the inconvenience. I would readily buy from him again. I truly feel that this was just a freak oversight by someone at the manufacturer. Now that it can be set up, the little canopy is kinda cute. I will mainly use it to keep rain off of a generator and other equipment, but it would also be great to sit under and read a book out of the sun.

What a nice place to get away from the sun! I love this in my back yard. I get so much use out of it, its really crazy. Its so easy to clean. It wasnt the easiest to put up with two people but we got it done in about an hour. Great color. Love the window panels in it. You can zip up the sides if you want. I think we will get years of enjoyment out of this.

A screw broke off while building it and I can’t get it removed so it’s definitely not sturdy whatsoever on top of that Every piece is crooked!it’s just so wobbly! To top it all off the side walls don’t actually fits the tent so you can’t close it it will not zip there’s like a 5 inch gap in between! Don’t do it! Let my mistake save you your time!
