Really nice gazebo for the price. Goes together in less than an hour (one person) and all of the pieces went together easily and were accounted for in the box. I did use red lock right on the nuts and bolts seeing as the wind over time would shift them loose. Over all I’m very happy with it. One thing to think about; we ordered the 25lbs sand bag weights that clip to each leg. The unit isn’t very heavy and the wind may take it for a ride if you live in a high wind area. ... show more

Here I try to make a fair comment: this canopy is performing okay in a sunny weather, but never use it in the rainy day. It is not made for the heavy rain. I am never a picky customer. As long as the product is okay , I will not bother spend any effort to write a review or returning the thing. However, this one is an exception: there is a problem of the top/hood of the canopy’s design... the water is somehow retain on the top between the frames, and eventually cause leaking. I had faced the issue during the first rainy day, and thought it was my fault for not setting the canopy right. The next time I made sure the top was pull as straight/firm as possible. Guess what? The leaking is still the same. If not but worse. As I am writing this review, I can’t stop thinking this leaking issue may not only be caused by the design, but may also be due to the problem of the material. If the material is really waterproof, there is no way the water can leak through the top... Just hope that my canopy is the only bad apple. Hopefully everyone else’s product is good, but I really can’t trust this brand after my experience. ... show more

This product is great for the price. If you don’t have grass it’s ok use sand filled weights for the legs or tie it down. We had rain 5 days in the row & no issues. I recommend this product.

Awesome value for the price! $120 purchase price for me. Fairly simple to install. I was able to complete the entire thing solo in about an hour. Just needed help to place it in the final spot. Instructions I felt were a bit lacking but I was able to figure it out. Like other reviews the top was pretty tight to put on. But if you press in the button on the arms and allow them to go in farther than they are supposed to, you can easily put on the top, then pull the arms back into position. You'll know what I mean once you get to this step. Stability is so-so. It's pretty light weight so if this is a more permanent install, get weight anchors that you can fill with sand. There are plenty on Amazon and usually available at your hardware store. It's sturdy enough I wouldn't worry about after being weighted down. The light it comes with is pretty pointless. I'll use it more in the garage than for actual light whole cooking at night. I'll be picking up a set of solar string lights I would recommend this to friends looking to spend minimal money for some shade while cooking. Seeing that more permanent solutions run near and over $1,000 I'll buy this instead. ... show more

I installed this over my grill after a recent wind storm knocked down my old canopy. Even though it is 5 x 8 the canopy part extends a bit more so you get more coverage. I was able to assemble within an hour and I particularly like the utensil hangar and the trays on either side of the canopy. I have a 5 burner grill with a side burner and it fits perfectly. ... show more

Canopy was relatively easy to assemble, for the most part one person can assemble, but two people makes it easier when standing upright. the canopy is sturdy and attractive looking, the shelves on either side not only adds to the look but provide a terrific extra work area and a place to store items when grilling. Best of all a L.E.D. light is supplied and has a magnetic on the back. Plenty of hooks for BBQ tools, additional lighting etc. are packed in the canopy ... show more

I know this is meant to be a BBQ grill awning, but I had a specific situation that this seemed to be just right for. My outside air conditioner unit sits between my house and a stucco wall, just under 5 feet away. The neighbors have some Ficus benjamina (fig) trees that drop leaves all year, right on my air conditioner. The company that services my AC said the leaves create a dual problem: they fall into the unit and they build up around the base. The second problem is potentially a fire hazard here in southern California. So I ordered this. It fits, barely. I could only fasten 3 of the 6 bolts that hold the "roof" brackets to the frame. I had to use zip ties for the other 3, but double zipped them. The roof is somewhat squeezed in between the two stucco walls, so it's pretty secure and it's not a windy area. I added some leg weights just to be sure, and since the AC fan blows straight up, the vented roof allows air to escape instead of catching the fabric like a sail. I also had to leave off the side rails, because I have to walk past the AC occasionally, and the shelves had no purpose there anyway. The unit is stable enough without them in my situation.
