Description

The Master Lock Magnum M930XDLH Solid Body Padlock features a 2-1/2in (64mm) wide solid steel body for maximum strength and reliability. The 7/16in (11mm) diameter octagonal shackle is 2in (51mm) long and made of Tough-Cut boron- carbide, 50% harder than hardened steel, offering maximum resistance to cutting and sawing. The 5-pin cylinder prevents picking and the dual locking ball bearings provide maximum resistance against prying and hammering. The covered keyway offers maximum weather protection, and reinforced body bumper protects against scratches. The Lifetime Guarantee provides peace of mind from a brand you know and can trust.

I have an outdoor storage building so if anyone has ever had one then you know how flimsy those doors are that they put on these storage buildings so I installed a metal grate, security door inside the inner door frame and needed a really strong lock that someone couldn't just take a hammer to or use a simple grinder to cut it off and steal my tools before I even realized anything was going on. Now this is a little pricey so I couldn't afford to buy a second one to actually try to destroy for testing purpose but as soon as I open the package I was immediately impressed with this lock. It has a very large shank size so make sure it will fit through whatever you are using. It has worked perfectly for my needs and has several features that made it worth the extra cost. First off, any of the cheap locks you buy will bust open with a couple of good hammer hits or a simple grinder will cut the shank in less than a minute but this lock is super heavy duty and I doubt very seriously anyone can break it with a hammer. Also, it is specifically designed with a cut resistant metal alloy to prevent anyone from using a grinder to cut it off. Then lastly, I didn't think much about it when I bought it but now after using it I have found that the rubber insert that covers the key slot will greatly extend the life of your lock by preventing weather and conditions to allow grit, sand or whatever to get inside the key slot. Now that I have this lock on my outdoor building I feel so much more secure and I am not jumping up at every little noise I hear to check on my building. This lock would also be great for outdoor driveway gates and anything that you are locking up with a heavy duty chain. I would definitely buy another one if I need one. Well worth the money I spent. I purv hase the lock almost a year ago but i installed in September I return after 10 months to our house the lock was solid stuck I need to spray WD4 and use a hammer to open it , I have to mention that was outside but protected from elements. My old Master luck was 15 years old and never rusted the new one is built whit whit cheap metal. I called the company and they want us to grease it every 3 months...🤔 so I have to make a special trip back to my summer home from FL just to make sure its going to open 🤣 ...what a piece of junk. I'm surprised for the positive reviews it got, out of he box it deserves 5 stars but performance 1 star. ... show more
