I bought these to secure my privacy fence gates, I didn't want to deal with keys... They work well. Unfortunately one of them after about 4 months wouldn't open anymore, but after some trouble shooting the highly responsive customer service is sending another lock. We had to chisel it apart with a hammer and screw driver to get it off. Lock Design is nice though it's very few moving parts (simple, but effective). My guess is one of the rotating pieces with teeth went out of alignment from one of the dials somehow? Maybe a defect. Important part is they stand behind the warranty. I ordered them to use on my bike panniers. Unfortunately, I can't use them with the panniers as the hole on the panniers is too small. The quality is so good that I don't want to return them and just have to figure out where to use them..

I don’t know. It’s probably okay for La La Land, I wouldn’t consider using this lock in New York. It’s kind of like putting up a beware of dog sign when you don’t have a dog.
