I bought this lock for a locker at my work and always had a problem with it being set in the “change combination” mode whenever I put it on my locker. I always brushed it off and continued to lock my locker with it after until today. I assume that it did the same thing today, it was change combination mode, and I locked my locker. So, when I came back to put my combination, it was wrong. I tried multiple times and no go. Seriously. All these reviews saying, " My lock reset itself," are a result of people not paying attention to what they're doing. Listen. You open the lock using 0000. Rotate 90 degrees. Push down on the lock. While pushing down, set your new combination. Close the lock. While keeping the lock closed, rotate the dials and scramble your code. It's now locked. You wanna keep this from resetting itself? Don't set it down while it's unlocked. Simple. Lock it when you're using it, lock it when you're not. Take it out of your gym bag, open the lock, put it on your gym locker, close the lock, and go pump iron. Come back to your locker, open the lock, open your locker, close the lock, and put the closed lock back in your gym bag. Problem solved. ... show more

Bought 4 locks and set each to be the same.. put them in a box and drove around for a day. One of the locks somehow reset combination to something I have no clue what it is. Should of been a word/key combination. Key to solely reset combination etc.

The code you set can be changed on its own to some unknown code if you leave it unlocked and it gets tossed around. Simple fix is to just keep it locked as much as possible but kind of a dumb fault to have in a lock.
