Description

The Master Lock No. 527D Covered Solid Body Padlock features a 2in (51mm) wide black vinyl covered body for scratch and corrosion resistance. The 5/16inin (8mm) diameter shackle adjusts from 2-3/8in (6cm) to 5-15/16in (15cm) long; and is made of vinyl-clad hardened steel, offering extra resistance to cutting, sawing and surface marring. The 4-pin cylinder prevents picking and the dual locking levers provide resistance against prying and hammering. From the Manufacturer Keyed Different, 2" (51mm) wide covered brass body. Removable adjustable shackle provides maximum application flexibility. Shackle length ranges from 2-17/32" to 5-15/16". Adjustable shackle ensures snug fit to locked items. Covered shackle and body protect surfaces from scratching.

    • Excellent for double doors
This Master padlock was excellent for use with locking double doors. It is the only lock I found that is the right size to do this. Other master locks posted up to 5 1/4 inches in size did not fit on the double doors - they are too small (I purchased others and had to return products). Additionally, this lock has the black plastic coating that will not scratch your metal handles - this is a nice feature but not a major advantage. Each lock has its own specific 2 keys so that if you purchase multiple locks, only the specific keys that came with the lock will open it. The only negative I found is that additional keys (if needed) cannot be made up at Home Depot because Home Depot does not carry the specific key size/type - you will need to simply live with the two keys provided with each lock...just don't lose them! ... show more
