To begin with, I found this combination lock to be extremely convenient and simple to use. There are no keys to lose or track, so there is no risk of becoming lost or tracked. Setting up combinations was not an option , and we appreciated the ability to select our own chords which this lock did not have. The padlock itself gives the impression of being sturdy and well-made. It wasn't overly heavy or cumbersome, but it also wasn't flimsy or cheap. I was confident that it would last and provide adequate protection for my belongings. The ability to change combinations at any time is a most have feature. This increased security because you could update your code on a regular basis to prevent others from accessing your data, this lock doesn’t have it . Combination padlocks were also versatile and could be used for a variety of purposes. It was useful for securing my gym lockers, but it's also useful for securing bikes and suitcases while traveling. The other reason I didn't give this product five stars is that the padlock can be difficult to open. It took several attempts to find the correct combination and open the lock. This, however, was not a major issue and could be worked around. Overall, I would recommend the combination lock to anyone looking for a dependable and user-friendly lock. These set of two locks was very reasonably priced and sure brings back a lot of memories of high school days! We received ours in an awesome reddish purple, and they're working perfectly for our apartment's small inside storage units. They don't have the same heft that they did those decades ago, but seem to be pretty sturdy, and are doing the job. I debated whether to go with a lock and key, but decided I didn't want to have to carry a single other thing, and enjoy being able to run down and grab a few things without having to take my keyring. The Master Lock 1530T Locker Lock Combination Padlocks works perfectly for the son who just started High School. The locks fit on both his book locker and PE lockers, the wheels turn smoothly, and the lock opens and shut securely. They look and feel exactly like the Masterlock I purchased in High School decades ago, and if they're anything like my lock, they'll hopefully still work decades later as I'm still using mine today! The only issue the son had with the locks is that he couldn't choose the color - he ended up with the purple locks, but didn't really care too much thankfully. Overall, the locks are secure enough for our son's needs and is something I will likely purchase again when the next kid heads into high school. ... show more

Kids are going back to school and this two back ensures that their regular locker and their gym locker have the same code. It's the same instructions that we all used 20 years ago on our master locks so they are easy to use and robust. They are built to be used on a kids locker. I would not recommend these for a high security situation / need. But if you need two of the same combinations for school lockers buy these with confidence. ... show more
