Mast is horrible. Machines, ink, needles, all of their stuff. Save money, get an FK Irons ONE. Cheapest FK and is the best one with 2yr warranty. Mast is horrible. Try reaching out to them when you have a problem, they don’t reply. CHINA! They do not care. They rely on Vine reviews. That’s a big red flag right there. STAY AWAY!!!!

This tattoo pen from Mast is a superb running machine, but there are a few minor inconveniences that I have noted. Overall, I would have to describe this pen as "superb". The pen is beautifully built, and has the finishing to match. The machine work on the pen is excellent, and it feels wonderful in the hand. Personally, I love the shape, with the the thick, parallel sides. I know by looking at this pen that it's easy to get a custom grip by just adding some folded paper towels, and some grip tape. I can't say I was disappointed in the way it ran, either. It was super smooth, and there was a little bit of noise around 10volts. Not concerning, at all. There is a range of 4.0v to 12.0v on the integral battery, which features a super display, possibly the best I have seen. It is large, digital, and easy to read as you work. There are three buttons to operate the pen, one is "on-off", another is "+", and the last "-". Very easy operation. Very intuitive, and the buttons are easy to find. At the very top of the pen is a USB-C charging port, and that gives you about 6 hours of run time, which is not quite as good as some others I've used (up to 8 hours), but still fine. The stroke length is adjustable by twisting the barrel, which was a bit tight. I'm guessing that with use this will loosen, but not to the point where it would be problematic. There are audible click stops for the stroke length, which maxes out at 3.5mm, a little disappointing. A pen of this quality should have a stroke length up to say, 4.2mm, but I digress. The motor is quite smooth, and even running, and is brushless. At the mid-point there is an LED band that lights in different colors, which is entertaining... but unnecessary. However, I did feel that it was tastefully done. Comes with a small owners manual, a charging cable, and an extra O-ring seal. You have to love the faceted grip area. I really, really like this pen. It's got a great design, and is very well made. It feels solid and reliable in the hand, and well-balanced, as well. I'm a fan. I think it's a fine value for what you get. No disappointments here, really.

I’ll start off by saying Mast is my favorite brand. When this machine came, I was very excited to open it and use it. It blew me away with the color changing light and the timer that counts how long you’ve actually been tattooing. My first use went very smooth with zero issues, quietest pen I’ve owned in a while. The second time using it, I noticed it became very loud mid-session. I assumed it was the cartridge until I removed the cartridge and noticed the pen started running extremely loud and was no longer smooth. I ordered a replacement which has been pretty good, but the display screen and buttons were not secured to the machine, causing them to come off/be loose every time I use it. I still love this pen, however the quality should be better for the price. It looks cool but I can’t say that they are made perfectly. I still use it in my daily rotation, but with the defects, it has dropped from being in my favorites.

I love mast machines and have a lot of them but wow on this one. The first thing i noticed was how fat it is. I don’t have super large hands but i am still able to use it without issue. People with big hands will def like this machine. This is not only on the thick side but a bit longer than others they make. There’s a color screen and there’s also a color ring that illuminates in several different colors - you pick the one you want. Or you can have them all fade in/out, or you can turn off the light. The nice thing about it being thick is the vibration is barely noticeable and barely felt. I usually tape up my machine to help dampen vibration. I didn’t need to tape this one up. The machine also runs whisper quiet thanks to the brushless motor inside. My only gripe with it is that the battery while rechargeable, is integrated. You can’t remove it, so if this should have a problem, you’ll have to plop down more $ to get it replaced. I don’t understand why on a machine of this caliber you’d have an integrated battery.
