I absolutely like this tattoo machine! It's very quiet and simple to use, it comes with everything you need to get started tattooing, however, the fake skin that comes with the kit is paper thin. The fake skin on the left hand side is the one that came with the kit. Other than the fake skin being unusable I 100% recommend this kit for beginners.

As a 39 year professional tattoo artist I'm well pleased. If ur new to this let me help u with 2 important facts. 3.5mm stroke is excellent all around machine if ur only gonna use one. Also direct drive is always what u want. This is both. If u wanna step ur game up get a 4.2 mm stroke direct drive. Like the (archer s) or the original archer 4.2. The original was 3.5 with a 4.2 mm option. I own all 3. I shade with 3.5 an line/color pack with 4.2

This set comes with everything you need once you’ve gotten past the beginner phase of learning how to tattoo. There is a limited supply of accessories, as once you get to the point where you’re ready for higher-end tools, you probably have a surplus of the consumables. Also, there is an option to run the machine while attached to the USB-C power supply, for added versatility and no-gap usage time. I'm just in the beginning phases of learning how to tattoo, and I've tried many different kits now. This kit includes everything you need, including 20 cartridges, though they’re all a single size. The on/off, depth adjustments, and speed fine-tuning were fairly easy and self-explanatory. The gun is more involved than others I’ve had, with more adjustment features for different usage modes and has a very sensitive adjustable needle depth and 3.5mm stroke, which really helps when you're still trying to master how far to hold the gun to get the right skin depth (1-2 mm). The included practice skin also helps get a feel for the way the machine works as compared to others. I still don't feel confident working on actual skin of others, so I'm still just practicing with skins (included) and intermittently shading in or cleaning up some decades-old tattoos on myself to try it out on actual skin. The included ink is a deep, rich black and holds in the practice skin and real skin well. The included gloves provided a nice germ barrier after I'd sterilized all required skin areas. It didn’t include pen bags, but again, once you reach the level where this kit would be beneficial to you, you probably have a surplus of bags. This machine was easy to handle and allows for steady handling and an even and consistent depth, and the needle didn't hurt any more than professional tattoos. The ink was deposited evenly over the old tattoo and is healing evenly. The skin trauma was no worse than any of the professional tattoos I've ever gotten, and the healing went by without a hitch. It even brightened up a patch where I’d scratched too hard on the original tattoo and the ink looked faded. Overall, this is a very user-friendly kit for someone in the intermediate phases of learning tattooing and is an excellent value for the money. Low on consumables, but a great value when you take into consideration the value of the pen alone.

Great pen for beginners to practice with. 🇵🇷🇴🇸 👍 Large capacity battery 👍 Beautiful color display screen 👍 Can adjust the voltage in small increments 👍 Low vibration and quiet motor 👍 Easy to use 🇨🇴🇳🇸 👎 Built-in battery means if it fails the whole pen has to be replaced SUMMARY This tattoo pen is beautiful. The color screen and the color changing band around the pen are great features. The pen has a powerful, but quiet, motor with low vibration. I love being able to adjust the voltage in small increments for a more precise setting. I don't love that the battery is part of the pen because if something happens to the battery, the whole pen will have to be replaced. The kit includes helpful items to get you started. There are cheaper kits out there for beginners, but they are also cheaper quality. This is a great choice if it's something you can afford.

This is easily the best starter kit I've tried. I've tested and reviewed a number of beginner kits now, and this one is the best one yet. The shape of the machine is comfortable to hold. It runs nice and smooth, great control for linework. The battery is easy to read and at full charge runs for a very long time. The kit comes with everything you need, ink cups, ink, self adhesive wrap, needle cartridges, transfer paper, a practice skin, and even some flash art transfers for you to try out. My package even had some cool stickers in it. The real star of the show here is the machine, it's just a good quality machine and that's really at the core of what you need to start learning well. The Mast machines I've tried are quickly becoming my favorites, and this one is no exception. Definitely the best beginner kit I've reviewed, with the high quality machine this is a great kit to start out learning with.

Mast Tattoo Archer2 Wireless Gun Kit The product description made this sound like a great state of the art machine, but it is not. It runs rougher, and is much louder than many of my other machines. It works and gets the job done. I started and finished a practice tattoo with it, but I was often tempted switch to another machine. The worst part about this machine is the power source. This is a cordless, battery run machine. It features a nice easy to read display, and the power/ pause button is on the side, which I find assist work flow better than the top mounter power / pause buttons; however, I could find no way to replace the battery! If this is the only machine you have you & your client will have to wait throughout the duration of the charging period once the battery power has run too low to continue your work. I do not know what Mast was thinking when they made this machine. They have other great machines that have both replaceable batteries and RCA adapters. ensuring continuous use, and greater product longevity. Personally I can not recommend a product that has an internal battery with no means of replacement; eventually that battery will be no good and your product will be nearly useless. If you are considering this machine, I would advise taking a look at Mast/ Dragonhawk Fold Pro, Tour Fly, or Tour Y23 Pen, all available here on Amazon. All these machines have replaceable batteries and RCA adapters, and all three are much quieter and better running machines; well worth any extra expense. ( actually at the time of this review the Tour Fly & Tour Y23 are even cheaper than this machine!) I can not in good conscience recommend this machine. 1 star. Explaining my rating system: 5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend 4 - above average – a great choice 3 - average – what one might generally expect 2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative 1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible
