Description
The Bugtique Bee and Insect house is designed to attract solitary bees such as mason and leafcutter bees which are hugely beneficial for garden plant pollination. Its generous size (28cmx28cmx9cm / 11″x11″x3.5″) and unique design holds approximately 100 nesting tubes. The strong structure is handcrafted using natural high quality materials consisting of pinewood, bark and bamboo nesting tubes (amount / orientation of tubes may differ slightly due to craftsmanship and natural materials used).For optimal inhabitation, mount the bee house preferably against a south or southwest facing flat surface in a sheltered area protected from high winds and rain. Use the designated mounting point between the two top barks to place it 6 to 7 feet above the ground as seen in the pictures.Due to its unique design it also makes a great garden decoration. While the bees will slowly familiarize and start visiting their new home; the pinecone and spacing under the barks offer a safe environment for a variety of small bugs and insects.Getting to know and understand bees is an educational activity highly recommended (especially for children) as they are an integral part of our ecosystem and our planet.
