This little gem holds an entire jumbo Schacht bobbin full of yarn. It’s got a nice tensioner to it. Assembly was a breeze. I like the fact that the plastic cone on it twists off (not the skirt, but the upright cone) in case you want to take the ball off without worrying about the center collapsing. Very impressed and it’s a quite a heavy duty machine for the price. I would recommend that you have a lazy Kate to hold your full bobbin while winding to avoid the yarn coming off your bobbin unevenly to avoid any mishaps with yarn wrapping underneath the skirting. What a time saver! Worth every penny.

This winder works great and is exactly what I needed! The peg on the tensioner that holds the yarn arrived broken but doesn’t severely impact the usage of the winder. I cannot find a way to message the seller about this but the winder is very easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. I used half of a 10oz skein to make a blanket and had to pull it all out. Had a huge pile of yarn. This little machine made it all better. I'd say it is worth the investment. I have a large bag of unhappy yarn that I will no longer hide in the back of the closet. Easy to use, Works well quick assembly Clear instructions Great size Speed is variable Unsure about the durability, I just got it.

I have had this winder for 5 months and it worked extremely well until the peg holding the cone on broke off. The seller's solution glue it on because they don't offer replacement cones!

This winder is awful! It will not hold the yarn when it’s put into the holding slot. I had to manually spin for several cycles before it would hold. Then the winding went out of control, winding so tightly it eventually broke the yarn. Turning the machine was useless; it continued to wind, however at a slower speed. Only way to stop was to pull the plug. Finally, it wound into a very short ball, in spite of advertising as XL. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point.

I did not believe this machine could wind a full pound into one cake… so I tried it… it worked. I love this!! There is one very irritating problem with this machine. The spool the yarn sits on is detachable and not secure when spinning. The weight of the yarn causes the spool to shake loose and fly across the room. It is infuriating to have to chase the ball of yarn around the room and clean it off, unwind and reattach it just to have it shake loose so easily again. I am forced to spin my yarn at a VERY slow speed, which defeats the purpose of buying the machine anyway. I bought this thing hoping to save time and effort. I would suggest to whoever manufactures these machines, to develop a sturdier spool, or maybe create one with a spool that is not detachable. I dropped my initial star rating from a 5star to 3star because, although the machine is powerful and motor is capable of handling large jobs, it is still not possible to work through those jobs without stopping frequently. There is really no time saved compared to winding the cakes on a manual yarn winder. I hope this review helps someone who is trying to find out if the machine is worth it to buy. I also hope those in charge of the development of the product are able to see this review. Several social media reviews have the same complaint. Overall, I am happy to have the machine, but I'm not excited that I may have to alter it so that it can perform even small yarn winding tasks.

The media could not be loaded. This is my 1st electric winder and I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but it makes winding super easy! The heavy duty design is easy to assemble with only 2 screws and it isn’t bulky. It was able to wind my scrap yarn (2 weight strands together) to make this massive cake (16.3 oz). It really out performed and the sturdiness of it held it tightly together into a neat cakes. I even used it to frog a crochet project right out of the stitches and into a neatly wrapped cake😂. The only downside to this machine is that if you have any yarn thicker than a 5 weight it won’t fit through the little metal feeder thing (not sure what it’s called 🤦🏾♀️). Keep in mind that I haven’t used it on its highest speed and probably never will. but it beats manually winding (I have carpal tunnel). Other than that Worth every dime!
