I am the "Production Manager" for 2 different companies separate by 800 miles. By "Production", my job is to ENSURE that their machinery, equipment, trailers and vehicles NEVER fail on the job, which is usually in a REMOTE, difficult to access location. I'm a lifelong, over educated professional mechanic (I prefer mechanic as a "technician" specializes). I never had that luxury. I had to be able to diagnose/service/repair EVERYTHING that came in front of me and I did that successfully in the ARMY and as a shop owner for 27 years until the disabilities I encountered in the ARMY rendered me unreliable, physically. I DO still work, but get the majority of the work I need to do done from May-Sept as I do as well as I am going to when it is warm to HOT out and I wind up incapacitated (frequently hospitalized) in the cool-cold weather months. Plenty of power in a design that handles the rigors of a commercial, skid mounted sprayer propelled by skid steer machines over the roughest terrain imaginable! These machines TAKE A BEATING, and a standard lead acid battery wouldn't last more than a few hours to days. Sure, there are more powerful batteries, lithium ion and such but for the cost and the fact these generally give 3-4 years of service, why bother spending 3-5x as much? IF you need a small battery to start a small engine/power a piece of machinery/equipment, these are EXCELLENT and a great option. I can't speak too much towards the brand, YET, but have close to a half dozen of these in the field as we speak, and in the 18 mos. they've been in use, we have not had a failure to date. I very much recommend this battery. From an easy job starting your lawn tractor to a brutal job on a commercial blower (spraying chemicals 150' through the use of a large, 15hp powered blower), they do what a battery is supposed to do and do it well, durably. The posts are at about a 45 degree angle instead of being square to the sides. This is obvious in the images but not something you would notice. It normally wouldn't be a problem except when space is limited in tight places and the cables are exactly long enough to fit. The battery itself works great so far (one month) and I have no real complaints but you might want to think twice before trying to put it on the church's lawnmower. All previous replacement batteries for my JD LA 135 riding mower fit loose, 2008 model year, so I had to wedge in foam to prevent the batteries from getting banged around. This battery fit very snug, so snug that I decided to pull it out and lube the edges of battery holder with grease, then it slipped in and had no free-play, so a perfect fit. Will see how long it lasts. The last battery from Walmart was made in Columbia, was written on a tiny round sticker, it lasted 1 mowing season, then died during storage with occasional float charging and voltage monitoring. Based on the discharge rate for this AGM battery, will initially check voltage every 3 months during storage, and then charge if needed. The handles are helpful in getting it out. ... show more

I have an Intek 23HP Twin V ORV Briggs and Stratton on a 2006 Troy-Bilt zero turn. This engine has more compression than a Harley Davidson Deuce. OEM battery is ridiculously underpowered for a zero turn. Mower repair man says 350CC minimum for zero turns. At 360CC, this battery fits the bill, and works like a champ. ... show more
