Despite seeing multiple lactation consultants and trying to breast feed my son for weeks I was reaching the end of my sanity. I couldn’t get him positioned correctly, couldn’t get him to latch… I was twisting myself into weird positions to try to make it work and failing miserably. Both he and I were so frustrated I was ready to give up. The boppy didn’t work for me- it was too small around and bulky on my small torso and my larger chest made it so my son wasn’t at the right level. On top of that it wasn’t feasible for me to find and use 5 pillows every time he needed to eat in order to get him positioned perfectly and end up with me still being uncomfortable. My cousin told me about this pillow and I decided to try it before giving up completely in a fit of rage. Let me tell you, I could cry. The lumbar support helped my position immediately. The Velcro strap making it adjustable in size makes it a perfect, snug fit. It’s not so bulky and fits my shorter torso perfectly and works with a larger chest so much better for leveling my son to the right height. The small bumps on either side helped support my son’s head perfectly. Latching was so much easier once the positioning was there. We breastfed both sides for 45 minutes and for the first time he’s actually satisfied after eating. On top of the fact that it’s just designed fantastically, the fabric is comfortable and the pocket was a life saver not having to search for my phone to track feeding, keep track of the container for my nipple shield and have a bottle of water on hand and in easy reach. All of which would previously get lost under the mounds of pillows I needed before. Seriously. If the company needs a spokesperson, I’m your girl. Do yourself a favor. Ended up getting an emergency c-section and this pillow was a life saver. Super great quality. The design is made to strap behind you instead of just sit on your lap so you have full back support. It’s comfortable for my baby and for me. It is big enough to lay my baby completely on it while she eats (21 lbs and long lol). The shape retention is excellent. I wish I had one of these earlier! If you are a breastfeeding mom, I highly suggest that you buy one of these. It makes breastfeeding so easy and comfortable. You can unzip the cover and wash it. The cover is very soft. I like that it has a pocket for your milk collector or pacifier or burp cloth or whatever. I also like the lumbar support. My daughter would often fall asleep nursing on this thing. It is not heavy either. It is a large shape so if you have a small space it may become cumbersome for storage, but it is worth it the time you will need to use it. Overall I think this pillow does a great job of providing a soft stable surface for baby while feeding. It’s nice to give your arms a break especially during longer nursing sessions. The pocket is big enough to hold things like nipple butter or some snacks that you might need. I much prefer this to the boppy pillow that my baby was very unstable on. This one has a buckle to keep it securely placed and I’ve definitely used that before when I need to get up and move to another spot. The one thing I don’t like is that although its washable you have to hang it to dry and I don’t normally have big breaks in between feedings.
