I got this metal frame bed because my 13 yr old is finally ready for a change! He's had a loft bed equipped with multiple shelves and a built in desk since he was about 8 yrs old; also purchased from Amazon. I guess now that he has entered teen mode he's tired of climbing up and down the ladder. This metal frame bed is perfect for my son. It allows him to switch up the design of his room anytime that he wants to because the bed isn't awkwardly large or super heavy. It is sturdy! It can hold up to 100 lbs, however it is fairly easy to shift around the room. One of the biggest perks is that it doesn't shift nor squeak as he changes position in his sleep. That is something that was becoming a nuisance with the loft bed. My son is very organized. The extra space under the bed provides storage for some of his items that no longer had shelves to sit on once the loft was taken down. The bed was ready to go once we put it up because he didn't need a box spring. That's a plus for us because he didn't need one with the loft and I didn't have to go out and purchase one. Speaking of setting it up, the process was pretty straightforward. My husband set it up in record time. All pieces were included and I could have done it myself but I was cooking instead lol. You can't go wrong with purchasing this bed especially if you're on a budget. This is also a quick remedy if you're looking for an immediate change. It's sturdy, simple in design and so any accessories and bedding will be at the center of focus, has ample storage, and easy enough assembly. I recommend.
