This particular cooktop was introduced in 2016 and is just now being discontinued (in favor of the new model). We bought this as a drop in for an existing 36" gas cooktop, primarily due to its reduced cost and the 5 burner setup with a high temp center burner. The cooktop has a ceramic coating to resist scratches and is easy to clean and the grates are dishwasher safe as well. Just requires existing power outlet and gas connection. It is not vented , but we use an air purifier to remove smoke and odors as well as air filtration. the unit weighs around 50 lbs, be sure to measure your opening to ensure it is a good fit. Doesn't have to be perfect, but needs to overlap to support end and sides.

My old cooktop was great except it had a glass top under the grates. I broke the glass twice in the last 15 years and the replacement glass was over $500. So this time I decided to replace the entire cooktop instead of just the glass. The new one has a ceramic coated steel top that is less exposed than the old one and is much easier to clean. The cost of the new cooktop was only a few $ more than just the glass on the old one and it was much easier to install than replacing the glass on the old one. Yes I replaced the broken glass and installed the new cooktop myself, no problem. The Installation was simple remove the old cooktop and drop in the new one, plug it in and reconnect the gas line and check for leaks. This model is discontinued but the price, ease of installation and good looks I couldn’t be happier.

The shipping was very fast. The packaging was excellent. No damage. If you change to propane be sure to add tape to the socket to hold the orifice while removing and installing to prevent from dropping. The flame is very good and no yellow tips. For the price it is a good buy.

I bought this for ~$400 which was cheaper than the off-brand ones I was looking at. It fits perfectly, works great, and is super easy to clean. SO GLAD we went with black porcelain instead of stainless. The large flat surface created by the grates is so convenient as well.

Arrived quite fast and was well packaged. Brought to replace a black cooktop that was not working correctly. Installation process required minimal effort to get it through the countertop. It did work perfectly. The knobs are well placed in the front and far enough from the burners. The item was well priced as well.

Nice looking stove but cheaply built parts. Parts are expensive to purchase from Frigidaire or the repairclinic.com. This stove is only six months old.
