Feeling the heft and weight of the (small box) and upon opening, it was clear to see, THIS IS VERY WELL DESIGNED, and built, high quality product. Wished that I had bought 2. (or even a dozen;) I bought a Vivo tent instead, with the resources. Ultimately this will be my seed starter set-up, the right amount and type of light, with added abilities to dim. I took a chance on my first grow light and man I’m glad I picked the Vivosun led grow light. It’s adjustable and works very well and my corn and watermelon and cucumbers love it as well. It’s quiet and built strong and the hangers are awesome and easy to mount and easy to adjust. I’m currently using it for 2 36 seed starter trays and it’s got a lot of coverage for them both. Settled on this light after browsing several small quantum boards. Will be using one for the vivosun triangle tent, odd-shaped but =2x2 in terms of square footage. Could probably get away with one in a 3x3 or 2x4 tent for vegging only, although that'd be pushing it. Can't really beat it though -- very solid hangers and build quality. Silent, dimmable driver (3 settings, the 50% is dim enough that I can keep the window on my tent open and not be blinded hanging out near it. Legit (one assumes) Samsung LM301 diodes, a decent warranty... Really nice entry to the quantum board market by Vivosun. I hope keep aiming for high build quality and good design like this, it really shows that they made an effort here vs many other overseas brands. Only gripes if I had any are A) I'm not sure on the diode count, these may be running more current through each chip than some other QB's, which could shorten lifespan vs brands with more chips per watt. But I don't know how many they use so maybe it's pretty standard. And B) The provided sunglasses are green, which are great for blurple LEDs (they counteract the color so your plants look like they're under white light)... but for full-spectrum LED lights like this, local grow gurus tell me you ought to use blue-tint glasses like people use for MH/CMH, because the spectrum is actually way closer to those. Regardless of those little points though, great lights and maybe a new high mark for Vivosun. Don't wait when they restock. ... show more

We’re versatile for a single plant to multiple plants. Provides more energy for plants and is very easy to adjust during different times. Price is reasonable for all the benefits of it. Great all around option if you’re new to growing.

    • Bright & doesn't work with my setup

Ok. I gave it a high rating because how its meant to be used... it does really well. But it unfortunately doesn't suit my needs today. It may in the future. But right now it is a regrettable purchase. One big note. You must where eye protection. Even on 25% this thing is very bright. Like I could (jokingly) probably illuminate my entire house on 25%. Including the basement. Pros: this thing does what it advertises and is crazy bright. Im not going to go into detail as you can read all the specs and yeah its great. Cons: the light appears to be designed to work with there grow tents. Which i do not have. I have a 5 rack wire shelf. I was hoping this light would work for one whole shelf thats the shelf I use for my tallest plants. It doesn't. The light out of the grow light will only illuminate one 10x20 tray. And it does so spectacularly. But it also absurdly expensive 1:1 tray. Now it might be that on brighter settings far enough away it might cover more trays. I just do not have the space for that kind of setup. I regularly have 16 trays. I would need 3-4x the space to use this. But in my setup, turning the light high enough to give outer plants enough light would cook anything directly under it. So for me this doesn't work. I am keeping it though. I may configure one zone for one that need more light or im sure ill find a future use. But right now its back in the box and shelved for the season. ... show more
