I had a old one that got burnt by my flat iron and the new one had a new handle with a hook hole which is nice if you have your brush in a place you need to hang it. Still works the same. Best invention for THICK DENSE COILY/KINKY HAIR. Love u Felicia. THE ONLY THING the handle design itself can be painful after a while. No matter which way u hold it. It hurts.     • Designed for minecraft character hands but works pretty good.
This works good in my 3C hair. You do need a moisturizing product and hair should be wet or damp to use this. I got it for my kids because of the tangles and "ouches" and crying. I used to use Johnson and Johnson detangler in their hair, which worked like magic, but am scared of using it too much because of build up. It works great, not the holy grail and there is some tugging to do but still better than using a flat brush. The handle is weird. I don't know who decided that women (and men) like to wash dishes, cook food, pick kids up, clean up slime and play doh, and then want to hold this in their hand and have to figure out how to hold it. You kind of have to palm it, depending on which section of hair on your head you're holding. I really want to believe this is some fancy ergonomic design, but it just feels flat out uncomfortable. My hands don't hurt or anything after using it, but it is uncomfortable to hold. It does flex a little bit, but just enough to get out the tangles. Its hard to clean as dust and other gunk gets picked up on the bottom of the bristles but I get a vigorous soapy water scrub should suffice it. Hair comes off easily though when cleaning. The bristles are plastic so, becareful with how hard you place pressure as you're combing through the scalp.. it will scratch you. Overall, I would suggest this for others to use but everyone is different so, I dont know how well this would work on different hair or how willing someone wants to be in learning how to use this. I just wish the handle was designed for real hands, not minecraft character hands. ... show more

To be fair my kid has very curly hair prone to lots of tangling, but when using this brush it still pulled and hurt his scalp. He said it was a little less painful than a normal hairbrush. Still not very easy to get out the big tangles.
