Use this shell for skiing. It has a slightly athletic fit but still has some room to layer under, keep that in mind if you want to heavy layer under this shell. If you plan to have a lot of midlayers you may want to size up. It's not super tight though probably between a regular fit and athletic fit.

Really nice gore-tex jacket. Fit (M) is good, a bit snug, but the Large was too big for me. I'm 5'8, 16 neck, 33 arms. After several months with this jacket and in some heavy rain, it performs like I expected a Gore Tex should. Stayed dry during walks with the dogs. I now think I have to get a large size, so that when winter comes, I can fit a thicker fleece under. The medium works well with a t-shirt, or dress shirt underneath, anything thicker, and the Medium would be uncomfortable for me. red color is really nice, still recommended!

Is my jacket defective? Water goes straight through it when it rains. This is not what I was expecting from a Marmot Gore-tex jacket. It is already too late to return for a replacement or refund. Incredible.

This was a very expensive jacket, close to $200. I wanted a light weight jacket that would keep me warm Fire short periods in snow conditions. This has the gel Anne look of Cheap windbreaker. I returned it immediately, so I’ll never know if it would have kept me warm. But it sure made me hot when I saw the cheap looking jacket I paid $200 fur.

Lightweight & thick, good for outer layer. Zip stuck sometimes, nice red color, i have never tried it under the rain yet. But i tried to put some water on it for 30minutes, the water looked like get in to the outer layer. But still dry inside. spent 7 days for shipping, no additional charge, good.
