I compared three popular lavalier mics available from Amazon - this Move, Maono, and a DeWise. The DeWise has a 1/8" plug so I used a Dukabel USB adapter. I do a podcast (two people with lavalier mics) and find that that lavaliers are a good choice for people like me who tend to move their head from side to side. My computer is a MacBook Pro. The Movo had a very strong signal - very strong. It will cause issues for many people. I had to turn down my input on the Midi and System Prefs to .143! The signal was a little muffled. Not a terrible signal, but a little lacking. The Maono seemed to have an easier to control signal. I set the input to between .6 and .7 depending on the person. It was plenty strong enough for any application. The signal was fairly balanced and clear. I personally liked the sound quality. The DeWise seemed to work well with a similar setting to the Maono (.6 - .7). The signal is fairly clear and has a reasonable sound quality. It has a bit more on the treble end of the frequency curve. That may work for you if needed. Another word on the DeWise - since it is a 1/8" plug be very careful if you plan to use it with a mixer. They left out a very important explanation. When using that kind of condenser mic, you will need phantom power. But (and that's a big But), you will need a transforming XLR adapter (Rode has a good one) that steps down the voltage to about 4 or 5 volts. If not, you may likely fry the mic. I preferred the sound quality and ease of use of the Maono over the other two. But currently, we are using both the Maono and DeWise together and they work well as an Aggregate mic set up. The Movo is a back-up at best, and we might return it. ... show more

this little mic packs a punch!!! the audio quality from it really is amazing, no more having to repeat things 5 times for my friends to hear me on call, it picks up your voice no matter how quiet you are!! super easy to use too, all you have to do is plug it in and maybe change the audio input device on whatever app you’re using. definitely reccomend!!! ... show more

It is very functional. It is based on USB connection, and it is well-compatible with Windows I am using. I purchased for my business meeting, and great feature of this product is a pin on the microphone so that you can keep the microphone near your chest so that it focuses on the sound you make rather than noise from outside. I use with other earphone via aux cable to avoid the sound from my computer goes back to the microphone. May be some people just buy headphone which has functions of earphone and microphone, but I hate my hair pressed with it. That's why I am using this setup. For video conferencing, this is fine out of the box. To use for videos you're going to want to do some tweaking in your software to get a decent sound. I'm pretty satisfied with it overall. There is no way to attenuate the mic signal at the capsule, so it distorts at the drop of a hat. Optimum placement for a speaker would be at least 12" from the mouth, at the level of maybe the 2nd or even 3rd shirt button. In that location, it sounds fine; any closer and clipping occurs with normal speech levels. Thus, NOT recommended for musical instruments or stage performance (e.g. hiding in a wig or near the face). I'll keep this one because it's cheap, it sounds fine with the limitations above, and I never know when it might come in handy. Oh, and the mounting clip is too small for the mic to fit inside, but aftermarket ones are cheap and easy to find. ... show more
