I’ve had my eye on this for a while. I needed a high glossy finish that would clean easy as we’re using this in a hair salon. My only issue and why I took away 1 star, just as most of the other reviews said the doors are a weird they don’t line up perfectly and if you tighten too much then the door feels like it’s going to break when you open it. Over all I love it and would recommend, I also had amazon build it and I would 100% recommend you pay extra for it. After watching 2 guys take almost 2 hours I knew I would have never been able to do it.

From the reviews prior to purchasing, I knew this was going to be a tough build. My husband agreed to put this together as long as I bought it :’) putting it together wasn’t that bad and we didn’t have any power tools but a screw driver and rock coaster to hammer parts in place. First things first, utilize the YouTube tutorial they offer and ORGANIZE all your parts like we did in the picture I posted. This made it easier to grab what we needed since all the little parts and screws weren’t labeled. Then start watching the tutorial on slow speed. Be prepared to screw in your own holes throughout the process so just follow the pictures through the video. The only delay we had was the end, when we had to screw the doors in. My carpenter uncle came to the rescue and aligned our doors! Save yourself sometime if you know someone who can do this step for you. Some reviews say that you get the doors crooked but that’s not the case. You just need to mess with the screw adjustments yourself and align the doors. Overall, this piece of furniture was worth the time and build. I would just recommend the manufacturers to make easier instructions/labels for beginners like us. I also bought this as a return so I saved $80 from the original listing.

I was super excited when I came across it on amazon because it very much aligned with what I was searching for. Although very concerned about the difficulty of the assembling process from reading the reviews, I took a chance on it because it looks so beautiful. The delivery was great. Delivery person handled my packages well so there was no damage. This item comes in two boxes/deliveries. I’m glad I received both on the same day. As for the assembly process, already aware of the difficulty, I used both the YouTube video tutorial and the manual to guide me. I also previewed the instructions before I actually building. The parts are not labeled so I recommend paying close attention to the instruction images and the distinct features of each part such as premade holes etc for accuracy. There were a few sections where I had to create holes myself because it wasn’t already premade. It took me about 4 hours to put this together. I did have help and have plenty of experiences putting together IKEA furniture and still think this was one of the most challenging assemblies. However, the result was so worth it. It looks absolutely beautiful and meets the purpose I purchased it for. Overall, challenging build and challenging to align the doors, but if you have the patience, attention to detail, and willingness, the finished product is beautiful.

It arrived on time. When we opened the boxes and started to assemble it, the instructions were terribly written and almost impossible to follow. What made assembly even more difficult was that several of the holes called out in the instructions were missing (never drilled by the manufacturer). We eventually completed it after much frustration. It's actually a sturdy cabinet, well designed and nice looking.

If you’re ready to put your marriage to the test, assemble this piece of furniture with your partner. I’ve successfully put together many pieces of furniture in my lifetime, but this one was rough. The instructions were confusing. Nothing was labeled and we were missing quite a few screws among other hardware that was supposed to come with the furniture piece. I read that a lot of people had issues with the cabinet doors—just make sure you install the inner and outer hinges correctly. The doors might be uneven at first, but you have to adjust them by tightening/loosening the screws in the hinges. There are plenty YouTube videos explaining how to do that. It looks wonderful in our space now. Definitely worth the fight to put together.

As others would attest to, it does take a couple of hours to put together but I knew that ahead of time and I am quite used to putting furniture together so that was not a problem. But one main problem is with the picture of the dimensions on this site showed the shelf heights as being 12.01 inches. That is not true. The height of the bottom shelf is just under 12 inches and the height of the top shelf is 9 3/8 inches although it becomes higher just after the frame. Now this is important to me because I was using this sideboard in my home theater room to store my DVDs and I had purchased the Artisan DVD album which is 12 inches tall and has a rigid frame. I did not realize that until the cabinet was finished. Luckily, I was able to fit the album sideways at that solved my problem albeit a less optimal solution and why I gave it 3 stars. As for the appearance, I love the look. It has a high gloss finished and fit well with my white pilasters and trim. One final note and this will save you hours of troubleshooting, take careful note of the hinges. There are actually two types of hinges, one type for the outside doors and one type for the inside doors. It is hard to tell by the picture the hinge style, but if you get it wrong you'll drive yourself crazy as to why you cannot align the doors. Once I figured out what was wrong, the doors lined up fairly quickly.
