I've been using the ST-03 for awhile now and I've been getting less and less enthused about having to use it. For me, I don't have a video camera so using my Iphone X to record 4K video is my best option. The Manfrotto and the ST-03 are easy enough to use, pretty self explanatory. Both mounts accommodate an Iphone X with a lifeproof case however the Manfrotto is barely able to do so while the ST-03 can easily extend another inch. Both mounts feature a cold shoe however the ST-03's design makes mounting a Rode Videomic impossible due to the clamp adjuster being right in front of the cold shoe. The Manfrotto's cold shoe fits the Rode Videomic barely, a little bit of the Rode's foot hangs out of the cold shoe but the Mic has a screw to secure it so it works. Both mounts collapse to a smaller size which makes transporting them easy. The ST-03 is made of metal and has rubber in the clamps to protect your phone, This mount feels sturdy and gives no impression of poor quality. The Manfrotto is made of metal as well with rubber pieces in the clamp to protect your phone, however i'm not a fan of the swiveling parts that transform it into a clamp for your phone. It honestly feels that if I might break the clamp if i'm in a hurry and try to swivel the wrong way. Pros: -The Manfrotto has the better cold shoe -The ST-03 is priced better -The ST-03 can accommodate larger phones and cases -Manfrotto is quicker to deploy BOTH: -Secure your phone tightly and protect it with rubber pads -Are easy to setup and use Cons: -Manfrotto's price -ST-03 is not as easy to deploy rapidly If it wasn't for the name I really don't think the Manfrotto would cost as much as it does. If you aren't going to be using a Mic or light or anything and have no need for the cold shoe, go with the Ulanzi ST-03. If you are going to use a Mic or a light you will want to pay the extra cash for the Manfrotto. If you are going to use multiple things with your phone then go buy a rig. When I wanted to record video on my phone with a mic I had to build a rig to do so, now all I have to do is use this mount. No rig needed. That is exactly why it is replacing the ST-03(and rig) from my bag.

This thing is cool and space age like. It won’t Handle big phones in plus sized cases. But it looks cool. I sent it back. Didn’t work. But if you have small cell phone it would be ok.

A well made cell phone clamp that folds flat for travel but holds a cell phone securely. I added a manfrotto quick release plate to the bottom of the clamp so I could use it with my Manfrotto tripod and ballhead, as well as a smaller tripod with a manfrotto ball head. I like that this is metal instead of plastic. I like that it fits my other Manfrotto equipment with ease.

I liked the fact that it folds and you can put it in your pocket. But it’s just too flimsy to give it a great review. I generally like about everything manfrotto produces. Just not this product.

WOW!!! I was blown away at the quality and feel if this clamp. Fits my iPhone 7+ with the Moment case. Purchased this to allow me to capture great video WITH quality sound on an upcoming thru hike. Allows me to mount an external mic on the cold shoe for this purpose. Works perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. The build quality is amazing. Feels like a quality product in hand. Easily flip open and close and single screw on back to loosen holder to fit phone. The spring loaded holders feel cheap and the ones that U have to screw and unscrew to open and close to desired length takes so long. Setup and disassemble is quick and easy. This product hits all the nails on the head but three issues I found are weight of item, phone stays secure in mount but due to design the mount wiggles(see video), and of course this comes with a premium price tag. The screw on the back does not unscrew all the way off on mine, like I saw in some other reviews. This has nice grip to attach to phone, slim design when U fold up. Wish the opening fold locked into place of some sort, that would prevent phone from being so wobbly. If U need a stationary mount and don’t mind the high price tag for a quality look and feel item then U will score with this. If U are planning on using this with some sort of selfie stick being on the go, the weight and amount of movement would not make this the best choice. There are more stable, lighter and cheaper options on the market. Seems I have to review the handle on same review as holder. The handle is thin, compact, comes with a wrist strap which I wish was able to be tighten around wrist. Has nice grip, screws onto mount easily. For the price and above, I was happy with it. Concern is with item in hand, there is an indent where it seems you would put your pointer finger on but then handle sits in the middle of your palm which is not a comfortable feel for extended periods of time holding. I kinda felt it was more comfortable placing the handle lower in hand and resting your middle finger in the indent instead of pointer finger. So at the end, I feel if this was about 2 inches longer it would of felt more stable and comfortable in hand. This handle and mount are quality items with a superb built quality. It’s small design flaws on both of them that I wish they would revise. The mount needs some sort of lock in place for the twist out components, the wiggle gets a little better if you spend some real extra time pushing mount ends real tight against phone prior to tightening screw on back. I would probably deal with design flaws if item was cheaper but with this price point it has to go back sadly.
