Indeed another great innovation is its two-section legs, adjustable in five different steps adapting to non-level surface the footprint that will give the possibility to take low light landscape and architecture pictures with the maximum stability. With PIXI EVO there is also the possibility to shoot in portrait mode, allowing the camera to tilt to 90 Degree to capture incredible images, while ensuring great stability and precision for accurate pictures. • Great tripod
Color: Red
Just got this item a few days ago and had a chance to go out and test it. The build is very good. Hard plastic, nothing fancy but good quality and it feels strong. The adjustments are just what you may need, the ball adjuster allows you to level you horizon without having to re position your tripod...but it has no bubble. The legs give you two possible height levels and two with options. So the more "spread" it is the lower to the ground and more stable it is. This tripod will be going with me wherever i go. It handled my GH5 with a 12-35mm as well as my 45-200mm lens just fine. No compromises, it just works great. This little tripod is perfect for throwing it in the backpack and just taking it with you wherever you go. ... show more

  • Not as light as the non-EVO Pixi, but much more capable
Color: Red
I bought this (originally) to replace my non-EVO Pixi tripod -- it's a bit less compact, a bit heavier, but much more versatile. As with the original, it's built from a mix of aluminum (leg cores, ball head's ball) and plastic (the rest). But the EVO model brings 5 leg lengths and two leg angles, and can also handle heavier cameras vs. the original. Both models have good build quality, I'm expecting years of use from "the new guy." So, unless weight and space are at an absolute premium for you, this is a great little tripod. Just the same, I've decided to keep my "old" Pixi alongside this one -- if only because I can still toss the original in a coat pocket. ... show more

  • Neck strength is an issue for support 2.5kg. Good with DSLR but only with kit lens. Neck strength is an issue for support 2.5kg. Good with DSLR but only with kit lens.
Color: Red
I looked for a compact but heavy duty tabletop tripod to hold my camera for maintenance/cleaning. This one has load capacity of 2.5kg and my camera is about 2.3kg with full set up so I tried this one. Pros: Compact for its load capacity (2.5kg) Adjustable height with leg length and angle. Dial screw is easy to put camera on. Cons: Neck isn't very rigid. (package indicate good with DSLR with kit lens) Screw fixing (side screw) feeling isnt' good and worris if it it will be too tight and broken. feeling no screwing end. ( I didn't try so much not to brake it) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It holds my camera well for maintenance but not really for shooting photo with it. Its neck (small bar from the ball) is not very rigid and that the only part makes camera vibrate long. Legs are looking cheap but actually quite well made and solid when putting heavy camera on it. My camera is too heavy for vertically position with it of course but other than that it holds quite tell. I took off my flash and replace lens to 50mm then it hold in vertical position as well. If you are seriously trying to shoot photo with it, I do not recommend it because the neck is not rigid at all and see my short movie, visible vibration won't even stop in 2 sec (short timer shotting setting) need 10 sec timer and have to be very quiet on table. If you focus manually with x10 enlarged screen, the vibration almost never stop. Even with it's shutter, it make quite big vibration by its self with my camera set up. This neck deflection also make problem when you try to position your camera to shoot a point. hold camera and fix it and leave your hand, then camera will aim at quite much downward. so you need to experiment how much it would aim downward first and need to aim high with considering how much it will aim down. This is quite stressful if you try to shoot picture seriously with your heavy camera. If camera isn't so heavy or doesn't have long/heavy lens it will not be a real issue but then I believe you can go for much inexpensive tabletop tripod. I normally use Canon 2470 F2.8 ii but to take photo with this tripod, I need to change lens to much lighter one. ... show more

  • I really wanted to love it, BUT.... I really wanted to love it, BUT....
Color: Red
I really wanted to love this mini tripod because I have the smaller version (the one that doesn't extend) and I thought this one would be as sturdy and amazing as the other one, HOWEVER when I first tried it, I noticed that the legs are very loose and they make a lot of noise (Check the video to see what I mean). I don't think it's a big deal, but it's just something that I wasn't expecting when I bought it. The good thing is that it's able to hold a lot of weight without bending or the ball falling to the sides. It's all made out of plastic except for the ball which I think is aluminum. It's not too light and not too heavy. Just right. Size wise is not huge, but big enough to give you a good grip. ... show more

  • I love this tripod
Color: Red
I love this tripod!!!! I bought it to take on a trip to New York with me. I used it everywhere. It is very versatile and I used it to position my camera on walls, postal boxes, the pavement and fences. I took it to the top of the Empire State building and got some amazing shots at dusk (where you need something stable) - places like Empire State Building and Rockefeller usually frown on taking full size tripods but have no problem with this mini tripod. Its very sturdy and takes a full frame camera (Nikon D4S with 24-70 lens) no problem. Easy to put in your camera bag and even to carry around with you on a day trip out. I cannot recommend this highly enough. its my all time favorite photo gadget. ... show more

  • Nice Design but Flimsy
Color: Red
I bought this primarily for tabletop photography. This mini tripod has several features that I like: a ball head, extendable legs, and especially the two-position angle adjustment. With many other mini tripods, you fold out the legs without the ability to adjust the height or the angle. So why only three stars? The construction doesn't inspire confidence. It's a bit flimsy and legs don't give the impression that it can take hard use. They flex too much and feel as if they might snap off or bend. Extendable tubular legs would probably be a better design. The Manfrotto tripods and monopod that I own are solidly constructed and are quality pieces of equipment. Not so much with this mini tripod, unfortunately. Only time will tell if PIXI EVO will last. Great design but not-so-great construction. I'd award three-and-a-half stars if that were possible but since it's not I'm grading tougher since I expect better from Manfrotto. ... show more

  • Light weight and compact option for Sony A7ii shooter.
Color: Red
Nice little tripod. I took it on a trip to Prague and Budapest and didn’t want to carry my Manfrotto Befree tripod as I figured I would be on the go more than setting up shots. Small size and weight are great. It is pretty sturdy considering it is largely plastic construction. I definitely pushed it a couple times with a Sony A7ii and 24-105 lens combo but it held up and I will bring on the next city trip I take. I doubt I would take as a primary tripod on a trip shooting landscapes. ... show more

  • Great little tripod, realize its limitations Great little tripod, realize its limitations
Color: Red
I use it for solo bicycle camping ("bikepacking") when I want to take a selfie at camp. It's great for setting on top of a picnic table or stump and taking pics. Realize its limitations. It's mostly made of plastic. It's not going to hold a lot and you have to make sure it's super steady before you walk away. I've even crammed other things in front of/around it to give it just a little more stability. I use it with a Nikon D7200 and either the Nikon 18-300 VR or a Sigma 17-50 2.8 (heavy lens) with no problems. It's so small I can stuff it in any of my bicycle bags. ... show more
