I was excited to finally get this. I am growing out my pixie and it’s now a chin length bob. I got this to try to do some loose curls. It took me a minute to figure out how to curl with a straightener but once I did it was great! If you have longer hair you’ll need a bigger one but this is great for chin length or less. This little guy is small but powerful. I like how fast it heats up and I like having different temperature options for how dry or curly your hair is. The design is compact and easy to coil up and store for travel or under the counter. I actually have longer hair but short bangs, which are next to impossible to straighten with my normal straightening iron. So, I got this to see if it would work -- and it does! It gets much closer to the roots than my other one. Using it to curl my side layers was easy and the resulting curl was tight and neat. This iron doesn't slide neatly across my hair, but I have thick and coarse hair too. I would recommend this for someone who has short and/or thin or fine hair, or who needs a better option to straighten bangs or short layers. ... show more

I love the size of this hair straightener, it is small and light weight so you can take with you or store it almost anywhere! It is very easy to use and heats up quickly. I also use this to curl my hair. I have found that with some other straighteners my hair gets caught and then it pulls or rips out my hair, I have not found that to be the case with this one. It does a really nice job both curling and straightening my hair. I have very thin hair so I am not sure how well this would work on someone with thick hair. I recently got this Manelix 1/3 inch super slim pencil flat iron with ceramic coated plates for short hair and I am happy with it. Although this flat iron is small, it heats up quickly and I did not experience snagging when I used it on my medium thickness, wavy bangs and clip in hair extensions. I like that there are 5 heat settings and a built in auto shut off. The pink color is cute too! ... show more

If you have really short hair, it's very hard to find a curling iron that can do anything with it. This curling iron is thin enough to do the job. It's very easy to use. The on/off button is inside the two curling paddles, which is odd, but you don't get burned turning it off so I guess it makes it less easy to accidentally bump it on. It has several different temperature that you can set it at; I went for the middle setting and was able to curl my hair just a couple of minutes after. It cools off pretty fast also. It has a velcro strip to keep the cord out of way when you're not using it that stays in one spot. I think that you could use it to straighten extremely short hair if that is what you want to do too. ... show more

This is probably the easiest flat iron I've ever used due to it's thin and lightweight nature. Also there is just one button. Press it to turn it on, press it again to advance the temperature. The device has lights that blink until the desired temperature is reached. Once it's reached, it stops blinking. It doesn't take long to heat up, maybe a minute or so, for the medium temperature. There is also a lock feature, for when storing it. I was easily able to maneuver this device through my hair for straightening and also for curling under at the ends (very easy). I was able to curl it in ringlet curls easier than other devices as well, but definitely the easiest was curling under at ends and straightening. I do have very fine hair so it was absolutely perfect for me. I don't think this would work very well on thick hair because it is very thin and lightweight.
