  • Didn't have to lower my expectations...
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard Edition
My usual fair is of the Assassins Creed, Fallout, Hitman, genre so I like sophisticated game engines, realistic scenery and great weapons. Here, I was expecting a cartoonish game that might be funny. I figured that I could take out some of my hostility towards politicians and humanity in general by pretending to eat a few. I was not disappointed. The graphics were actually a bit better than my disappointing purchase, No Man's Sky (which is now a good game due to the developers continuing free updates!). I got them on the same day and was quickly bored with No Man's Sky( a few years later I like it). The controls are responsive but sometimes too much, sending my shark spirally out of control just when I am about to nab a tasty catfish. So learning to steer the fish was a bit challenging, still is. If there is a quick reference to the various combo movements I haven't found it yet. I didn't memorize all of the them during the tutorial. You should write them down for future reference. Guess I'll go back and do that on the second go round. I am currently enjoying swimming around the Louisiana Bayous. I'm not sure if you can get to the Mississippi River and the Governors Mansion yet, but I am hoping they threw in a few edible politicians just for fun!! We aren't very fond of what they do to us here. I did fully enjoyed eating people at the beach and if I can't get to Baton Rouge I can't always go back and pretend. They also use a Bull Shark which can swim in fresh and brackish water (combo of fresh and salt). The shark facts were a nice touch! Lake Pontchartrain which flooded the city during Katrina, is brackish and a calving estuary for bull sharks. So as a mother shark I felt right at home! One thing they got wrong is we don't have "Counties" we have "Parishes", a hold over from French occupation along with our antiquated legal system that insures and overflow of lawyers with no place else to practice and that every company who moves here will have to hire at least one. If the developer is listening, can you add the governor in somewhere for bonus points. Just say he went fishing??? Also the Muskie fish you describe as being out of place because is belongs up North should have been the Alligator Gar. A local, well armored fish that can easily reach 6 feet but has a similar sleek appearance. What no Gar models...you need to fix that too!!. ... show more

  • Very Addicting
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard Edition
Okay so I played this game for over 20 hours here is my review it is a great game you start off as a baby shark as you progress your shark gets bigger it was a bit hard at first after I started to get bigger it got easier I have to say it's comparable to Jaws unleashed only way better graphics very fun and entertaining very addicting I could not put the controller down usually after about 30 minutes to an hour I put the game down but I found myself with this game playing this for 3 hours straight I haven't had a game like that in a long time since the new God of war the only negatives it feels like it has high and graphics for an Xbox 360 it does take about 5-6 GB so that's what it says about graphics they are all right but not the best another thing is loading I will be in one area in the middle of a battle move over a couple of feet in the game and it will go to a loading screen to continue the battle I feel it loads way too much for a Xbox One game this game feels more like an Xbox 360 game the other thing is that it crashes it will freeze up and I'll have to quit the game entirely go to the home screen and exit the game and load the game back up sometimes the game will crash in the loading screen and will not load I feel like if they spent a few more months making the game there wouldn't be these issues in some ways I would say it's a low-budget Xbox One game those are the only negatives so if you can deal with being patient and letting it load a little more than usual then awesome game if you can deal with the occasional crashing then awesome game those are the only negative reviews I have other than that it is very fun entertaining and addicting I think it's really cool how you start out as a baby shark there are so many upgrades as to bone armor or even shock armor you get to eat people and other fishes there are other apex predators you can fight it is very fun I feel that the entertainment you get out of it outweighs the occasional crashing and the loading times ... show more

  • Fun, if short game.
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard Edition
Great fun to play, but a bit short. Hopefully there with be expansion pack of some dlc. This sometimes feels like an incomplete game, like they hit a certain level and then just kind of stopped.

  • A lot of replay value
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Standard Edition
This game is stupid brainless entertaining and fun! There's nothing more stress relieving then playing as a mega shark eating everything in your way. It is not horribly difficult, in fact it might be a little too easy to beat. Roughly 12 hours through campaign mode and you can have everything 100% complete not including all 10 Alpha bosses. I believe it has a lot of replay value so that will be fun. The developers should be extremely proud as this is a very awesome game. ... show more
