I’ve been practicing yoga for well over a decade but have always used basic, inexpensive mats. As my practice has gotten more serious in the last six months, I decided it was finally time to upgrade. I wanted something comfortable, but durable—I have rescue cats who love to use yoga mats as a scratcher the second I get them out, as well as a toddler who practices with me, usually accompanied by no less than four monster trucks. I also wanted something that would be easy to travel with, so I could bring it on work trips and other outings. So far, this mat checks all the boxes for me, and then some! It is lightweight and folds easily into a tote bag or backpack. It’s soft, and perfectly grippy for yoga in any environment. Perfect for my vacation. Packs up tiny (like a newspaper). Easy to carry in a tote bag along with a book and a few other small items. I was surprised that it was reasonably comfortable. I used it on the wooden deck of a cruise ship and it felt fine, a nice barrier between me and the deck, with excellent grip. I ordered the Travel Pro at the same time and decided to keep both (the Travel Pro for road trips and eKO for flying). The beauty of this one is how small it packs! absolutely love this . it’s by far the grippiest mat i ever owned ( on the floor and also in terms of skin to mat). i bought it to travel as its very light and easily folded but i’ve already started using it as a top layer to my existing mat. it will be great for hotel floors . it’s thin but that’s what i wanted , for travel. even on it own on hard wood floor it’s not uncomfortable , i can use a towel for any poses hard on the knees ... show more

I just received my order. As you can see, it's still wrapped in original plastic. Then I realized that the ends of the roll feel different/soft. One end is round and firm, can't squeeze it much. The other end is soft and could be squeezed likes cheap paper towel roll... What's wrong with this mat? Why the thickness is so un-even? If it's the case, then each side of the mat will wear off differently... Anyone experienced that? Update: After unwrapping, I didn't notice visible difference in the thickness of the sides. It might will appear with time and a way it will wear off. The mat's smell became less, but still too noticeable even after a week. No go for Child pose and others with forehead resting on the mat. Strong offensive fume. And the last one for me: Mat becomes very slippery when you sweat. Any level of sweat, not just at Hot Yoga. The feet slide apart in Warrior and Runner poses, the hands don't stay put in Down Dog. I kept fighting keeping the balance and adjusting my feet/hands through the second half of Flow Yoga. I REALY wanted to like this mat. I got one in beautiful Sage color. It's very light and thin, easy to care around, sticks to the floor without creases and doesn't move around, feels really good first few minutes of class before you warm up and break into sweat. Would recommend it for non-balancing activities: Floor Pilates and Easy Restorative Yoga. ... show more

I ordered the blue toad marble and I like the colors better in person than the pictures. The colors are more subtle. This was a great purchase for a recent stay at a hotel. I was able to do some yoga and a workout in my room. While the mat is thin, I put it on a hotel area rug so it was more cushy. This mat could be used alone but I prefer it on top of another mat or on a rug. It was nice to have something grippy and clean to workout on. It was also easy to take in my carry on suitcase and folds up into the size of about a newspaper or laptop, like others have said. ... show more
