I’ve been using the Mammotion LUBA 3 for over a month now, and overall I’m very impressed. Setup was straightforward, and creating maps for the mowing areas was quick and easy. I only needed to make a few minor adjustments to correct some missed spots, and after that it’s been working really well. The only downside I’ve noticed is the battery life. I’m currently getting about two hours per charge, which seems a bit shorter than expected. That may be related to mowing through taller grass, since thicker areas likely require more power. Aside from that, the mower has performed reliably and has been a huge time saver.

So far, I really like the LUBA 3. I get a consistent mow and I have the schedule setup for random angles so the yard always has a nice pattern to it. It is nice to set it and forget it. I would ‘love’ to see someone integrate with onX mapping to just know your external yard boundaries. The machine seems well build and it came with an extra set of blades. I did go to their site and add on the garage just to give it some extra protection in case of hail, etc. It will recognize rain and stop mowing or not mow if it is raining. Overall, I love it and my spring allergies love it even more. There are definitely things I wish were better: First, I really don’t like having the RTK, but I know most mowers use that. They did just recently announce the iNavi service which is RTK free. The email stated is available in my are, but the coverage map only shows Europe. I will a have to attempt to use that soon and it may eliminate my need for the RTK. Second, I wish it could get closer to the edge. I know that I have to trim anyway, but along fences and landscaping, I wish it could do a closer cut. Third, and probably my biggest gripe, is I had to turn off the obstacle avoidance. If the grass is a little tall, it will trigger it and not mow it. It still avoids things, but that is by bumping into them, then backing up and going around. It needs to handle this better. It took me a few days of it not mowing, trying re-mapping, etc and doing some googling to figure out it was ‘avoiding’ the taller piece of grass. Last, I ordered a size bigger than I ‘needed.’ I have a little under a third of an acre, so I bought the ¾ acre version thinking it would be able to mow the whole yard in one shot. It does not. Maybe if I had it set on a loop instead of angles it would, but that was a little disappointing.

The product itself is excellent and exactly as I expected and actually exceeded my expectations. Very well packaged, beautiful product use it almost every day And it mows my entire lawn. I don’t have to pay anybody to do it anymore and I can just maintain it by putting it on a two or three times per week week automatic schedule to maintain the lawn with out my supervision. I should have bundled it with a garage, but I didn’t and now it’s too expensive to buy separately. But that’s my fault.

Love my LUBA 3! Have been holding off buying lawn robot because of have steep hills, tough turf and irregular boundaries. This new LUBA kills it. Super easy to map boundaries and it's amazing to watch it problem solve. I intentionally didnt identify well head, and then watched in awe as the LUBA identified it and determined how to mow around it-still providing tight cut. Same for hill areas where lawn meets irregular driveway. Super happy with LUBA. Cant wait to watch it mow again!

I'm loving my LUBA 3 AWD 3000H! I've already sold my lawn tractor and all the accessories I had with it. Don't get me wrong, I loved cutting the grass, it was my virtual brainless getaway; however, I now love even more that I have that time made available to do other tasks that I also enjoy doing but always ran out of time because of the regular schedule of having to cut grass. I spent about 20 hours researching different models and landed on this robot mower by Mammotion. No regrets! So, I am about a month into ownership of this mower. We are having a drought on the East Coast. Normally, you don't cut grass because cutting over 1/3 of the grass height is traumatic to the grass, especially in a drought. So now I do what I would have never done with my rider (because of time constraints), Luba cuts my grass every 3 days, therefore it is only barely trimming the top of the grass blades, therefore no trauma. Even in a drought, my yard is looking pretty decent. There are a couple of brands that do appear to have an edge over the Luba 3, it is the difference in their blade configuration. Those mowers create an updraft, similar to conventional mowers, that makes the grass stand up to be cut. The Luba 3 has no such up draft. Now, in all fairness, I have a tall fescue lawn, and where that grass is, there is no problem; it looks great with a beautiful crosshatch pattern. But, where I have weeds that run primarily horizontal or are just larger leaves that lay down, then those may end up being longer than the 4" cut I have programmed. I am hoping that Mammotion will give an upgrade option that modifies the disc the blades attach to (I'm thinking slots and fins) or that they change the blade mounts to be angled to create such a draft. With all that said, this is not enough of a problem to even consider reducing the stars. The freedom I get with my time and that my yard looks better than ever is more than enough to maintain the 5 stars. One more small item mentioned only because I know that Mammotion reads these. My model is supposed to cut up to 4" (the ideal height for tall fescue), and it apparently does; however, the app only shows settings up to 3.9." That should just be a software upgrade. Speaking of software upgrades, those are happening more than once/week. THAT is so encouraging to see that Mammotion is actively improving their product, which is now my treasured possession, so that I know I have not been abandoned immediately after making the purchase. I did not need the optional, but included, extra antennae. On my 1/2 acre lot, there is no deprivation of contact, control, or effectiveness as the mower moves systematically and intentionally throughout my yard. Price a cheap rider mower, factor in the tuneups, oil changes, cost of gas, paying someone to cut when you are on vacation, etc., and you are soon above the cost of a Luba 3. THEN, consider the value of your time and all that you would do if you never had to cut grass again. Buying a Luba is a no-brainer. Just a few more words, the noise level is virtually non-existent, you have to get up close to even hear it cutting. This is not a lightweight mower; it is tough and durable, AGAIN, NO REGRETS! I'm thrilled with my purchase and would do it again, no question!
