This is EXACTLY what I was looking for ! I am a side sleeper and I tend to switch sides a lot . I need to support my head and my neck when changing positions. This pillow allows me to do that ,however since buying the pillow I noticed that I am changing positions considerably LESS. I sleep in the corner/elbow of the pillow and wake up fewer times than I did with my other pillows because it gives the best support and incredibly comfortable. I have another 'L' shaped pillow but it's not memory foam and even though it's the right shape it is not the right material. I have spent close to $300 looking for the RIGHT pillow in the last 2 years and have finally found it!! This pillow relieved my neck pain almost immediately after purchasing!     • Worth EVERY penny!
As a 57 year old woman, I am in pretty good shape, however, I continue to suffer with neck pain. I wake every morning with some degree of pain, depending on how I sleep. I've tried countless pillows, but this is finally the answer! It's not a cure all, but it has decreased my pain significantly and I even wake pain-free some days! When I first opened it, I was immediately disappointed, as it's quite large, fearing it would actually add to my pain, but when I settled into bed, the pillow cradled my neck and allowed me to sink into it. It's the perfect height for my neck and shoulders. It does have a slight odor, but that hasn't been an issue. I also appreciate the carrying case that comes with it, as I travel once a week. This is an amazing pillow and supports my head and neck. The only issue I have with this pillow is I feel that it is way too firm for me. I feel like it causes me more pain because of how hard it is. I would love this pillow and be able to rate it the 5 stars It should have if it were a little more soft. ... show more

    • Practically magic.
This L shaped pillow has worked wonders. I was skeptical at first but it's extremely supportive and comfortable. It's the right height that my neck isn't at a crazy angle, but it also allows my shoulder to rest flat on the bed. I often have (on/off) major shoulder and neck pain. I don't know if it's a combination of horrible posture where I slouch during the day or when I crunch my shoulders when I'm sleeping. With this pillow there is enough space that it helps my shoulder not scrunch up/round my shoulder and relieves some of the tension. I have 5+ pillows in bed with me at a given time so I am excited to say I can sleep on my back and side with this one pillow. Only negative is the difficulty finding a pillow case that works well. I'm trying two different types - Taoson and Contour L shape. And when I purchased this pillow in December it was in great condition. However 3-4 months later I am finding little pieces of the pillow pebbling up and so it's not as smooth as it once was. Hopefully the pillow will last a while longer. ... show more

    • The BEST pillow!
This pillow is FANTASTIC! I am a side sleeper and often awaken with a sore neck and shoulder from a pillow that isn't firm enough or is too firm to properly align my neck and shoulder. I did my research and was so excited that all the reviews were correct. This odd shaped pillow keeps my neck in perfect alignment with my spine, and allows my shoulder to tuck into the carved out portion, thereby offering a pain-free sleep experience. My advice is to use the longer part of the pillow behind your back and it just seems to hold you in the perfect position! Follow the instructions in the package and wash the case when you get it though because the pillow has a faint odor. Now my pillow is odor free and because of the gel and memory foam I can look forward to many wonderful nights sleep! ... show more

    • Game changer for side sleepers!
I'd been having major shoulder and neck pain recently, as I pretty much exclusively sleep on my right side. I have terrible posture during the day AND when I'm sleeping, which was starting to catch up with me. This pillow is a game changer. It's flat enough that my neck isn't at a crazy angle, but very supportive and comfortable. It allows my shoulder to rest flat on the bed and increases the amount of space between my shoulder and my neck, meaning I can't round my shoulder/tuck it up close to my head like I do on a regular pillow. It's also comfortable if you do happen to roll onto your back, unlike some of the other L-shaped pillows I've tried. Can't recommend enough! Disclaimer: it does stink. Definitely wash the pillowcase before sleeping on it and try to leave the pillow uncovered to air out. I personally don't have a problem with it, but you might if you're sensitive to smells! ... show more

    • Nice and NOT so nice
Good: Nice support for neck and back. I use one 'leg' against my back and place my head on the other. I like the memory foam for comfort. NOT so nice: Price was more than worth. For one, The pilllow is easily damaged trying to relieve the pillow from its case, my pillow also split in two while trying to take the case off to wash. Two, pillow was too flat without additional rise from more pillows underneath it. Three: The price has gone up $14 in the last two months. Bottom line, I'd love to love this pillow but It's just not worth it. ... show more
