  • Excellent chair and customer service
Style: 6011-Black
I need a chair to go to and from my car at work. It can be a short distance or a long one, depending on where I find a parking space. When I first set up my chair I had problems with charging it and keeping it on. I contacted them and they responded quickly. They had a tech call me and walk me through what might be the problem and it was simple, the wires into the battery were not plugged in. This was luckily, easily fixed and took all of 2 min on the phone with the tech guy. You do not know until you know. Customer service was excellent and they followed up to make sure everything was good as well :) I have never used a chair like this before. I had a scooter, which is very different and super easy to use, but too heavy for me to get in and out of the car. This chair is not light, per say, but it is easy to maneuver. To take it out of the car I tilt it with the small safety tip wheels down and lean the chair back until those wheels hit the floor and then roll it back out of the car. To put it back in I tilt it back on those wheels until the front wheels are up to the lip of the car and then lift it and roll it in from there. These maneuvers mean that I bear very little of the actual weight and that makes all the difference :) Please see terrible paint pic. If lifting is difficult, this chair and maneuver might make a big difference for you as well :) It is comfortable to sit in. I got a little side pocket for my drink, and umbrella and the charger. I made a large pouch to hang on the back for my service dog to ride in and she is small so I can also fit another bag behind her and I use the seat belt to attach to my purse strap to hang it just under the back of the seat. It was an adjustment getting used to the toggle. I have found that running it on 2-3 speed is best for maneuvering, especially in tight spaces like elevators. Any faster and it will sometimes rush forward too fast and smash my feet. It is hard to keep it on a straight line, it tends to veer to the side every so often, but lowering the speed lessens the veering. I use the full speed when I am going a distance without a lot of things to avoid, e.g. the route back to the parking lot, and it helps me to zip out of the way when cars come by. It is low, which I found I disliked at the grocery store. The footrests are comfy but make getting in and out quickly difficult, but I suspect it is that way for all wheelchairs. This is my first. It also charges well and runs a long time on that charge. I use it for about 10 minutes twice a day and only need to top off the charge once a week, so far. Very happy with this purchase! :) ... show more

  • Perfect to get out and about
We needed a power wheelchair that was light enough for my wife to get it in out out of my truck and her car without difficulty. It can be a little bulky when trying to get it in and out of a vehicle. It is a little heavy but compared to other power chairs this is by far the lightest. The battery is easy to charge and has a long life. Just make sure to power it off when you are sitting in one place for some time. It has several speeds so you don't have to keep speeding up or slowing down. The turn radius is about zero but only after you have had practice driving it around. The hand control can go on either side which is a big plus. Gets a little muddled down on thick carpet and should not use it in wet grass or mud. Handles slopes and rough pavement/gravel just fine. The horn also comes in handy when trying to make your way through a group of people. Don't give up on it if you first have a hard time with it. Once you get the hang of it you'll really enjoy using this chair. This also works great when I am alone with my service dog as it was easy to train him to work with me in the chair. Finally, another benefit is you can switch from power to manual in case the battery runs out or in a situation where someone needs to push you. It is light enough for someone to push rather than being in one of those power carts or scooters. A great purchase and worth the money. (I went with the blue and black was as it was more stylish.) ... show more

  • Works Great and I have my freedom back.
Style: 6011-Red
The 6011 is as advertised lightweight, maneuverability, goes on the grass and stone driveways and battery lasts a long time. I've taken the 6011 to New Hampshire outlet malls, Nascar Dover race, Event at the NYS Fair Grounds' and even to a Funeral. I look foward to going to Local events, Nascar Watkins Glen and Xmas trip to TN to visit grandkids and Cruise to Bermuda next June. 6011 is great and comfy and the Price was the best money spent. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble, not easy to adjust speed but getting better with it.
Seems a little small, but we are using it and it works great.

  • Great Customer Service
This was a gift for what would have been otherwise a housebound gentleman. I wish I could have given this 4.8 stars, not 5, for a little initial problem. But the problem was not worth losing a whole star. After just an initial problem trying to get the footrest to fit on the chair, for which the customer service was exemplary also (it needed my husband to grate down a very tiny bit of metal to get it to fit), it was GREAT for our friend. He was so happy. It bought him freedom to leave his home and toodle around the small town we live in. It was so great for the town to see him out and about! The battery kept the charge for him for a few hours at least, not sure what the maximum hours have been, as he went around town (but he had to remember to plug it in every night), and it was easy for him to learn to use. The only problem was that it turned out that the rear wheels are NOT solid, as had been accidentally advertised on the Amazon site when I bought it, so he just got a flat. The company did an extremely quick and professional apology, both texting me (at my request) and writing to me, and calling me, to make sure I got their response. They quickly fixed the error in the Ad, (which is now accurate in all ways) and is sending by 2 Day mailing 2 inner tubes, for us to help him fix it if he wants to wait for the tubes. The customer service rep told me that any bike shop could also fix it, if our friend wants us to bring the chair to a bike shop. I was super impressed with the customer service, and have no doubt that this was simply an error on somebody's editing of the Ad part. And, to be honest, if I had been a wiser person, I would have realized that there was no way those rear tires could have been solid, or else a person would feel every single tiny bump as they rolled along. In any case, the company was very professional and I would buy from them again. ... show more
