  • Perfect to get out and about
We needed a power wheelchair that was light enough for my wife to get it in out out of my truck and her car without difficulty. It can be a little bulky when trying to get it in and out of a vehicle. It is a little heavy but compared to other power chairs this is by far the lightest. The battery is easy to charge and has a long life. Just make sure to power it off when you are sitting in one place for some time. It has several speeds so you don't have to keep speeding up or slowing down. The turn radius is about zero but only after you have had practice driving it around. The hand control can go on either side which is a big plus. Gets a little muddled down on thick carpet and should not use it in wet grass or mud. Handles slopes and rough pavement/gravel just fine. The horn also comes in handy when trying to make your way through a group of people. Don't give up on it if you first have a hard time with it. Once you get the hang of it you'll really enjoy using this chair. This also works great when I am alone with my service dog as it was easy to train him to work with me in the chair. Finally, another benefit is you can switch from power to manual in case the battery runs out or in a situation where someone needs to push you. It is light enough for someone to push rather than being in one of those power carts or scooters. A great purchase and worth the money. (I went with the blue and black was as it was more stylish.) ... show more

  • Fantastic
Style: 6011-Red
Easy to assemble. Ready to go out of box. Lighter than my husband's manual wheelchair and much easier to transport. Works great! Turns well. Highly recommend!

  • Great Chair…but…
I looked at so many chairs trying to find the perfect one that wasn’t too expensive. HERE IS THE LOWDOWN…I am 270 lbs and I am 5ft2in. I needed a lightweight chair that could carry my big butt and this one fit the specifications. I love it, I fit in it and it is easy to maneuver around some narrow doorways and halls. It isn’t so light that I can pick it up and put it in and out of my car but if I go with someone strong they can do it for me. I can stand for a few minutes but am unable to walk because of a hip problem so I rely on this heavily. It seems sturdy enough that it will probably withstand the heavy usage (time will tell). It was easy to put together by watching instructions on similar chairs because the manual only tells you how to unfold and fold for use but not how to unpackage it from the box and put it together. There was a note that I need to watch a YouTube video and the name of that video but I searched for 20 minutes and there were NONE on THIS model so I don’t know why they continue to give it out when it’s not there. Biggest problem I have is this backup beeper!! It is loud (I will post a video of how loud) and it literally wakes up the whole house if I dare to wake up and have to use the restroom or get up early. It is annoying enough that I wouldn’t have bought it had I known and I almost want to send it back because of it. I’m trying to find a way to shut it down first though. Last issue is the “magnetic brakes” feel very strange and the chair doesn’t just stop when you take your hand off the control and it feels a little untrustworthy. The chair is very comfortable and it comes with great cushions. It also comes with an adapter for the charger port that has a USB port and possibly a light on it? Very quiet when going forward and so smooth! If I back out of doorways the chair drives right over the lip with no problem. So basically it is a love/hate thing…the thing I hate is pretty much a deal breaker unfortunately. ... show more

  • Excellent chair and customer service
Style: 6011-Black
I need a chair to go to and from my car at work. It can be a short distance or a long one, depending on where I find a parking space. When I first set up my chair I had problems with charging it and keeping it on. I contacted them and they responded quickly. They had a tech call me and walk me through what might be the problem and it was simple, the wires into the battery were not plugged in. This was luckily, easily fixed and took all of 2 min on the phone with the tech guy. You do not know until you know. Customer service was excellent and they followed up to make sure everything was good as well :) I have never used a chair like this before. I had a scooter, which is very different and super easy to use, but too heavy for me to get in and out of the car. This chair is not light, per say, but it is easy to maneuver. To take it out of the car I tilt it with the small safety tip wheels down and lean the chair back until those wheels hit the floor and then roll it back out of the car. To put it back in I tilt it back on those wheels until the front wheels are up to the lip of the car and then lift it and roll it in from there. These maneuvers mean that I bear very little of the actual weight and that makes all the difference :) Please see terrible paint pic. If lifting is difficult, this chair and maneuver might make a big difference for you as well :) It is comfortable to sit in. I got a little side pocket for my drink, and umbrella and the charger. I made a large pouch to hang on the back for my service dog to ride in and she is small so I can also fit another bag behind her and I use the seat belt to attach to my purse strap to hang it just under the back of the seat. It was an adjustment getting used to the toggle. I have found that running it on 2-3 speed is best for maneuvering, especially in tight spaces like elevators. Any faster and it will sometimes rush forward too fast and smash my feet. It is hard to keep it on a straight line, it tends to veer to the side every so often, but lowering the speed lessens the veering. I use the full speed when I am going a distance without a lot of things to avoid, e.g. the route back to the parking lot, and it helps me to zip out of the way when cars come by. It is low, which I found I disliked at the grocery store. The footrests are comfy but make getting in and out quickly difficult, but I suspect it is that way for all wheelchairs. This is my first. It also charges well and runs a long time on that charge. I use it for about 10 minutes twice a day and only need to top off the charge once a week, so far. Very happy with this purchase! :) ... show more
