I have been trying to do more self care. Working on Tai chi and going to the acupuncturist. However I need to do some care on my own. I had never seen these before and thought I'd give them a try. I like the smell a lot. It is an earthy herbal smell. The green one is a little longer, I like the two different sizes. On the listing it gives some directions for use, but there is none included with the item. I have looked up additional meridian points on my own to use them on other areas like my shins and calfs. I thought well meridian points are centuries old so why not give them a try. I also like that they include a gua sha tool as a bonus. That works really well when I use it on my husbands forearm. He is a mechanic by trade and always has muscle tightness there from the nature of his work. For the price and quality this is a nice kit to have on hand for some self care. A very nice set. These mallets come wrapped in beautiful silk and cotton patterns, very pretty. They seem to be good quality, however the handle of the green one is a bit flimsy. The definitely do the job. They smell wonderful. I'm a little confused about what herbal mixtures are inside the mallets, and I'm just curious about it. To me it smells like mugwort, but the listing says it is wormwood. The box has only Chinese and no English, but Google Translate comes up as both of those (mugwort, wormwood) at different times, so I'm still unsure. A few small things to note: the pink hammer didn't come with the tassel shown on the box, however the green one did. The gua sha tool that it comes with is made of some kind of resin (not stone).
