Description

Makita created a new class in cordless with 18V LXT sub-compact tools. Makita sub-compact gives users 12V handling with 18V performance and compatibility with the world’s largest 18V cordless tool system. The 18V LXT sub-compact Brushless 11/16” rotary hammer (accepts SDS-Plus bits) is ideal for working in tight spaces and for overhead conditions. The XRH06ZB has an efficient Makita BL Brushless motor for up to 50% longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. It has 2-mode operation for “rotation only” or “hammering with rotation”, with 0-680 RPM, 0-4, 800 BPM and .81 ft.Lbs./1.1 Joules of impact energy for fast and efficient drilling. The compact size and lower weight mean reduced fatigue for operators, especially for overhead applications. Additional features include a vibration-absorbing handle that moves independently of the motor and hammer mechanism for increased operator comfort, as well as a variable speed trigger, built-in L.E.D. Lights, and one- touch sliding chuck for easy bit changes. It’S part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT system, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V Lithium- Ion batteries. Makita 18V LXT batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star protection Computer controls. Star protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the Star symbol on the battery indicating Star protection inside.

  • Small but mighty
Style: Bare Tool
Nicely build. Bought because of its size. It allows to get in places with low clearance. The light weight makes it very easy to handle. It has so much power that I don't use my big one anymore. Have extra batteries if you have a lot of holes to drill.

  • Lighter than I expected
Style: Bare Tool
This rotary hammer drill is lighter and slightly smaller than I expected. With that said, for my use it is a great thing. I use it to break through tile after using a diamond bit, for concrete drilling it might be slightly underpowered.

  • Good tool
Style: Bare Tool
This is a small tool but is one of the best items for our guys to carry everywhere to make holes in concrete. Highly recommended and good price too

  • Lightweight, powerful
Style: Bare Tool
This replaced an older DeWalt plug-in that go swiped out of my truck. This thing works just as hard, at a fraction of the weight. The tool itself weighs less than the battery and bit combined! I wish I'd gotten one sooner! Battery life is of course a worry, and chewing through the heavy stuff can run them out quickly. Just keep a couple extras charged and you're good to go. Overall the battery life far exceed my expectations. ... show more

  • Every powertool I own is makita
Style: Bare Tool
Each one I buy and test proves itself to be durable and endurance far longer lasting then Dewalt but when I got this hammer drill out and started using it I gotta say I'm not impressed it's super super slow and the Hamer part is just really low quality

  • This thing is awesome
Style: Bare Tool
This is my forth different brand of rotary hammer drill. If not first, this would be my second best one. Lightweight, powerful, and compact. And of coarse the most important factor, it's all black. It doesn't take up much space and works perfectly. Would highly recommend.

  • Get it
Style: Bare Tool
As the first to buy this on her I feel like it is my duty to review this little guy. I honestly don't have any bad to say about it so far! I've used it to tap holes into wet cinderblock on undergrounds to find our rough walls for plumbing and it didn't disturb the block at all, yet drilled a hole plenty fast enough. One 2.0 battery lasted our 4 jobs but we only had about 12 tapcons at each building. Besides portability and power(which is plenty for tapcons and concrete sammys), I would say my FAVORITE feature is that the air exhaust for the motor is pointed back directly at you hand, not the side! That means that when you're drilling above your head it's not blowing the dust into your face! Overall I think it's an impressive little machine, and while I got it for personal use I will be keeping it at work long enough to make my bosses learn to want more cordless tools and buy more! ... show more
