For longer run time, 12V max CXT cordless tools are also compatible with the 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion 4. 0Ah battery (BL1041B). 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion batteries are engineered with a Battery Protection Circuit that protects against overloading, over-discharging and over-heating. It’s part of the expanding 12V max CXT series, combining performance with superior ergonomics in a compact size.

This is a good tool it works as advertised. The 3/8” drill comes with keyless chuck, two batteries and a charger. The batteries indicate charge status and they charge quickly. Usual Mikita quality.

Love this drill. Bought it to replace my beloved Craftsman cordless which has served over 10 years. Like this one even better, though. Small enough to get into tighter places. Makita reliability. Works all day long on one or two batteries. I always put the depleted battery on the charger immediately. That way, the next charged battery will be available before the one on the tool runs out. Due to stenosis, I can't work and hold anything heavy over my head. I have an older drill/driver that I can't use because of its weight. Did a lot of research and found this Makita is light-weight and decided to try. Am able to do a lot more above my head now than I could before. Great drill/driver.
