  • Great grinder. Switch could use improvement.
In general, I am very happy with the Makita angle grinder. Seems well built at a good price. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that the switch is awkward. I usually have to fumble with the switch for a bit to get it to turn on and lock in.

  • good, but the Dewalt D28402 is better
Good quality tool, seems durable. This is 7.5A, not quite as powerful as the Dewalt D28402 at 10A, but still plenty for most jobs. The Dewalt has a paddle switch that you must hold on, and this Makita has a slide switch that stays on. For some tasks it's handy to be able to lock it on. But, this may be a little more likely to cause injury. The Makita requires a screw driver to adjust the position of the guard while the Dewalt has a quick release that does not need a tool - advantage Dewalt. The Makita is good as a second grinder, and for welding work, you'll need at least two grinders. ... show more

  • Best out there
I’ve used Milwaukee, Dewalt, Craftsman, Rigid, etc. I always find the Makita Grinder most ergonomic and easiest to control. Best out there for sure
